    Sounds like an excellent tire for someone who drives 70,000 miles per year in sunny California! Yes, I'm a Rideshare driver who's looking for comfort, quiet road noise, and good traction control. Sounds like this tire hits all those marks while having really high mile warranty which is awesome! Thanks!

      This may be true but I bought a set of Michelin tires a year ago and they had a 50k warranty buy the tires haven't gone 55k miles....my mechanic says the warranty is voided because I'm a full time rideshare driver....I'll have to call the manufacturer and ask

      @DriverSteve rotating tires and getting an alignment after getting new tires is a big deal in the long run. Many people either don’t get the alignment or push their tire rotations or even forget it and it comes back to bite them lol I do my tire rotations every oil change or every other oil change depending on how much the car was driven.

      I have these in Denver. They do excellent all year but they wore really bad. I need to replace them at 30k miles. In the over 300k miles I've put on my Malibu these have lasted the shortest amount of time of all tires I've bought but have been the best overall tire excluding MPG

      BTW, when you get your tires, make sure they are NOT expired! Yes, even vehicle tires have an expiration date! You also have to make sure your wheels are properly aligned which can make a big difference! Having bad struts/shocks or wearing of your wheen mechanisms can make a difference too.

    While not a pure sports car, I would think that a more performance oriented tire would be preferable for the Civic Si. I found your video while researching these tires as they came on a used Accord I recently bought. Though these seem like a reasonable enough choice for a car like the Accord, I don't think they would have been my first choice. I'm fine with all-season tires considering my needs from this car, but I won't rack up that many miles and honestly would have preferred a tire with better grip/performance. However, as they came with the car, I'll be giving the QuietTrack's a try just the same. Thanks for the review.

    Just put these on our CX5. The negative reviews below are concerning and completely perpendicular to the majority of the TireRack reviews. It makes sense that this tire does not absorb bumps too well - it’s has to be hard enough to last 80k miles. I have a tendency to overinflate by 2-3 psi, might lower it to the recommended if too harsh. You’re making a good point that has not occurred to me - don’t buy too much tread life if you don’t drive enough to use it up in 5-6 years. Based on our annual mileage, this is too much life. We’ll see.

    I’ have these on my GTI. Lost about 10% MPG, they understeer all the time. Not fun at all. Yes the ride is more forgiving but the noise is surface dependent and although quiet, not revolutionary. The benefits don’t outweigh the lost of performance and handling. Got 30 days and I’m returning them to Costco.

      Amen, I traded these in for Michelin PS4Ss. I will never go back to all season tires. I recommend you do the same or at least buy another type of max performance summer tire. The GTI, based on my experience with a Civic Si, was made for summer tires. If you have a separate winter/snow setup, there is no point of running all seasons.

Not to excited about the loss of gas mileage, although I believe I did notice about a 2 mpg loss when I switched from the Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max tires that originally came with the car. I would have got the Crossclimate 2 but I heard that they make a growl at low to medium speeds due to their tread pattern. Did the sidewalls feel sloppy on the Bridgestone's? The inside tread is worn off on all four tires after 2 summers and 50k kms. Had car aligned when installed and following spring. The rest of the tire looks like new, clearly can,t be the only one with this issue? My winter tires have worn perfectly so it's not the vehicle.

  • @nickmartin156
    @nickmartin156 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You’re wrong with saying someone that doesn’t drive 20k won’t benefit from these. If you are driving a high performance vehicle/sedan you will wear your tires down a lot quicker with less mileage actually put on the tires.

    • @BusMaster99
      @BusMaster99  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And that's where *you're* wrong. Not everyone has a high performance vehicle that goes through tires left and right. I wouldn't ever recommend touring tires for those cars simply because they can't match the grip of UHP all season or summer tires. Some people put these tires on Priuses and I guarantee you can't do a burnout in a Prius easily. Plus, the reason why you don't want an 80K mile tire on your car if you don't drive a lot is because tires can crack up after 5-6 years. Money wasted if you still have tread by then.

  • @epbski
    @epbski 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    But, if you're not driving that much, its not an issue because the tires will last longer before wearied out, right? So nothing to be concerned about? Yes, the warranty might be over, but if you can get at least 80,000 miles out of them, it's not a problem?

    • @BusMaster99
      @BusMaster99  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The issue here is you may still have tread after several years, but the tires are old. Old tires, regardless of tread depth, are more dangerous than worn tires because they are at a greater risk of tread separation.

      Ridiculous. if anything, Pirelli should be the company deserving of a boycott considering I've had unreliable traction from both the Cinturato P7 A/S and the Scorpion Verde A/S. Their tires are complete garbage. Goodyear, on the other hand, makes great tires and is the largest tire company in the U.S. They even make good all weather tires for both civilians and police, hence why some police interceptors from Ford come from the factory with Eagle Enforcer All Weather tires for reliable traction and performance.

We finally have 20 k on car at 5k per year, only have half of the tread, these are supposed to be 80k tires. I’m buying Michelin MXM 4 AC = Acoustic at $1330 out the door in Utah from Costco or Discount Tire. Avalon’s comes with 17- 18 - or 19” rims , so with bigger rims, having room for bigger calipers? , giving up side-wall flex , and sq. In. “We recommend tires that were manufactured 10 years prior (or longer) be taken out of service and replaced with new tires. Same goes for the spare. If it’s 10 years old, it needs to be replaced, even if it appears new.
      It’s important to note that the age of a tire is not the only indicator of whether it needs to be replaced. Many tires will need to be replaced before 10 years of age due to routine tread wear and other conditions such as punctures, impact damage, improper inflation, overloading and more. If a tire is worn out or otherwise unserviceable from damage or conditions of use, it should be replaced regardless of when it was produced or purchased.”
      They also offer 10 year warranties on some tires. Replacing them just because they reached some lower age is wasteful provided that they are in good shape according to the tire place.
