That’s really cool! That beats my 10’ x 12’ “tiny” metal shop I bought/built to build puchs and Tomos. It’s small, but built using the space wisely, luckily it’s over 13’ high. I put a mini split AC w/heat, so it’s always the right temps to work. It’s always great to see a video from you, hope to see more! See ya later and don’t forget about mopeds! 👊🏼
Currently I am looking to make a mobile workshop... having a shower, toilet sink would be ideal as get proper grimy. The main issue im having is i need better access, such as being able to load up ten sheets and fifty rods easy and quick like cargo. Been looking at toy haulers with drop down doors, but they all seem to expensive for that lightweight shell. Found a decent horse trailer with bunk, but no title ugh... the hunt continues.
@@MopedProblems ok, I misunderstood your opening, I thought you were meaning to use this as a traveling workshop. P.S. rent is infinitely cheaper in TN!
Great idea Pete, and food for thought for me... MY workshop is on my driveway; not ideal during inclement weather :-/ th-cam.com/video/B32iJY4zP0o/w-d-xo.html I DIDN'T forget about mopeds! 🙂
Pete, got this bike a couple of weeks ago. Skip to 7:08 to see Frenchie running. Your videos have helped me a lot! th-cam.com/video/b3yslEWlbeQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Doa_UuR7iC60fbU4
Problems: 1) THEFT!! Every window is a problem of its own. Way too flimsy. 2) Using that wiring for machine tools will burn your shop to the ground. Install your own for sure. 3) Chassis sag, under the weight of machine tools etc. Better plan for that stuff before investing any further.
1) theft is not a problem when wired up to an electric fence. 2) the existing 120v wiring is 12 gauge sold core copper wire. I wouldn’t change a thing. There is also 12 gauge braided for the 12v system that I’ll run LED lights on. 3) I’ve removed 3,500 lbs of furniture, flooring and appliances. The original dry weight allowed you to add and additional 1,000 lbs of stuff…. So I have 4,500 lbs to work with. The new flooring was about 850 lbs, so I have about 3,650 lbs left. Look into Avion, there quality is superior. You’ll be surprised in the material used in the chassis. 2”x6” tubular steel chassis with additional 2”x4” tubular steel at load bearing points.
@@MopedProblems Excellent! Yeah that's more structure than i figured on. And you sound like you're paying attention to it. That didn't really come through in the video. Do have a look at how they've spliced those wires though, for safety.
Great project, I can see a nice shop when your done.No more high rent to pay. Can't wait to see it done.
The rent is too dang high!
Heck yeah, Pete! That is a great idea and I can't wait to see where it goes. Literally.
We going somewhere for sure. X county moped building
you can cover the roof with solar and add some battery banks with backup generator to power everything too.
rad idea, cant wait to see more!
Great idea, following along here

What about an old school bus
Another good option, but not as good as a travel trailer!!

Saying hi from Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
My old stomping ground
Great to see you back!! Are you still going to be building MOTOs in the new workshop??? I hope!!
Most definitely
@@MopedProblems awesome.!
He forgot about mopeds...
Any update on this project?
What happened to the original shop and team
Have watched in yrs
What's the point? I don't understand the logic behind having a portable shop, not to mention something as big as this.
The rent is to dang high, see above
