    I really enjoyed this video. I now know how to calibrate my 1-fence miter saw. Btw- I never would have guessed you were British, I understood you 100% of the time! I can't stand to listen to instructional videos by foreigners because I often get lost on their pronounciation of words but NOT you! Thank You So much from an American, for this video and your clear speech!

    I have watched your video several times now and it’s been very helpful in letting me know how to tune a DeWalt sliding Mitre saw my nephew has. It just goes to show that while you expect the new saw you bought to be accurate it’s always a good idea to check and make sure it is. When I get my new garage built I’ll be buying a new 12” Mitre saw and I’ve saved your instructional video to refer to in the future. You explained what to do step by step slowly and simply and it was easy to follow. Well done and as I did in a reply to a comment on thumbs I give you only thumbs up👍👍👍👍👍

    Awesome! I recently built a coffee table with my Dewalt saw. While making it I noticed some of the cuts didn't look square and it really showed up on the final assembly of the table. I used this video to fix the saws alignment and now we're cooking with gas.

    Thank you, I was doing my head in working out what was wrong with my mitres on an old cheap drop saw, so I went ahead and purchased a 600 usd metabo 305 and it was out of square straight out of the box, brought a magnetic level box and will be calibrating the saw soon, no more strange skirting and trim cuts, no more wasted timber.

    I’ve tried a lot of sliding miter saws. No matter how well calibrated, they are flimsy aluminum and plastic things that can easily be pulled or pushed off the line by your own arm pulling on the saw handle. So I just bought myself a 500 pound DeWalt radial arm saw made in 1953, and calibrated that massive and well built iron monster. It never strays off the line.

      @@TrainingHandsAcademy I watched many videos on how to properly setup a miter saw and i have to say i learned the most from you. you explain very clearly how and what to look for which is 100% Perfect thank you.
      Today i ordered the digital angle tool and i seen my fence was a bit out as you should slide the saw out with the square along side and near the end the blade was going over the square. My saw is a brand new Stanley SM18 slider, and I cut a bunch of moldings to go around the doors and they all have a taper on them, or a bevel.
      I never had a Miter saw before LOL so just started cutting happy days and then OOPPS!!!
      I only cut the sides and never paid attention and they are all glued now on each side of the doors plastic moldings so now learned a lot have to order the small planer to cut them down so the top now cut level will fit on . If that makes any sense HAHAHA
      Thanks again for writing back and finding someone for advice in Thailand there is n one so your video is #1 100 % TEACHER :):)

    Great video. Clear and concise. You cover everything about adjusting your miter saw except what I find wrong with mine. When I first bought the new saw I had to make a slight adjustment to cut square. 45 degree miters and 45 bevel cut are fine by themselves. However when I cut a compound angle with the bevel at 45 and miter at 45 the miter is way off. Am I using it wrong or is there something inherently wrong with the saw?

    • @TrainingHandsAcademy
      @TrainingHandsAcademy  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a tough one... normally if the 45's and 90's are good, everything in between is good too. Not sure what that would be? You can send me a video on IG if you want of your problem.
