thanks so much for this tape, I have been thinking about this actual episode for all these years and thought I would never see it again and here it is thank you so much (again)
I will never forget my Dad taking me to Swansea grand theatre to watch him when I was like 12. It was him and Russ Abbott...Just brilliant performers for everyone.
he wanted more creative control than the bbc wanted to give him, more input into the sketches, which meant more budgets, previous series were just him and stand up.
one the greatest British talents ever, What a writer and what a performer.
Just watching this in 2023 and he STILL makes me properly chuckle. NONE of today's so called comedians has that effect on me.
I've wanted to see that Paul simon sketch again for over 20 years. Fantastic!

Phil Cool was like his name....so Cool. He was the amazing rubber faced man and yet he could do the voices as well much better than anybody.
Loved by 80s cool people

Phil Cool was/is so good. It's like ALi returning to boxing and watching all the current heavyweights fade into nothing.
