I have written one hundred comments, but there is always something else to say after listening to Judith once again. Her voice is unbelievably bright, clear. Each note is pitch perfect, and is wrapped in delicate harmonics combinations that seem to come straight from heaven. Delivery is always perfectly balanced, effortless. And when singing her beloved jazz or gospel songs there is that remarkable power unique to Judith Durham.
But now she is gone. For the best part of half a century she recorded the best, and we now cherish this legacy.

they weren't fans at all - they were sitting in the "dignitary" sections having no interest other than showing how important they were by being there. There was a lot of bad press about it. the concert-goers at Expo 67 were notoriously Canadian and international "dignitaries" who snagged the best (free) seats and sat there stone-faced while the fans were stuck in the outskirts with lousy sound. It was a bit of a scandal as it gave us a very bad look at an Expo where we had invited the world to see the true us at home. Ugly, especially in Montréal, which is by far our liveliest city.

This is a really good quality filmed concert extract - black-and-white TV yet excellent sound for an outdoor performance. It still looks and sounds as good 55 years on, in 2022, as it must have been at Expo 67 in the summer of 1967 in Montreal.
Athol Guy starts by saying that the Seekers are proud to be singing on their country's National Day. However, Australia Day is 26 January and this was in June or July 1967. Is there another day in the Australian calendar that he was referring to? (Not Anzac Day which is 25 April.)

Thankfully, the Australian contingent at Expo 67 was able to secure the wonderful talent of the Seekers. That sort of redeemed the nation after the performance of Normie (Rowe).

The national day Athol mentions is most probably Quebec's province Patriots day, 22 May 1967, which is a local holiday. They arrived in montreal on 18 May according to Judith's biography.

Keith must’ve been nervous because he started both songs really fast!!! For the other 3, really nothing to do but pick up the pace & try to keep up!!! Especially on World of our Own! It seems like Judith had to shorten notes in several places where she would’ve held them longer! Come the Day was always sung at a pretty good clip, though it still seems faster here!!!

as a person who played in a band, I suspect that they were not getting feed from their sound monitors, so couldn't correctly hear themselves. It can be very confusing, especially as to volume and tempo, and they covered a bad situation with great professionalism.
