I really enjoy your channel! I'm 51yo now and when I started high school band, all we had for tenors were tri-toms my first year but we were ecstatic when we got to camp and they had gotten us quads (w/o a spock) but your videos are thoroughly entertaining and they certainly take me back 💙🥁
I've gotten to see Atlanta Quest in person in the GIPA circuit. Their show was phenomenal. Although the technical issues with the tvs seem to happen frequently. Every time, they've had a different tv not working. But it's my goal after high school to audition for Atlanta Quest.

I am always amazed by how many high schools have enough people that are good enough and have motivation to do this stuff, because my school can get a talented drumline, but theres always a few who dont bother to learn the music, and the front ensamble is consistently bad because its usually all the freshman, with a couple upperclassmen and this is just for outdoor marching band.
If you like sword fights/beheadings, check out 2019 Boston Crusaders DCI show Goliath! (shameless Mom plug, my son played the VERY HIGH trumpet note (twice!) about 7 minutes in, during the Hamilton/Rocky mash up :)
I wonder how many of these groups got some of their ideas by watching this channel. For example, the idea at 8:02 for breaking the Mandarin's record for the most amounts of spins in air and the chickens at 17:54 lol 🤣
Bro those props were giant headache for Ayala all season. They were often too wide to fit into doors and even got them a penalty for damaging doors and floors
@EMCproductions you should do one with trilogy independent please. We are three high schools put together competing in independent A. Maybe even get bumped up to open. But it would be cool if you did CWEA championships 2024 from Dorman Highschool. Our production was called Bluebird. We are the year CWEA Champions.
Honestly kind of a shame that there weren't more PIO groups here, the class overall this year just kind of popped up and the top 5 all had some incredible products this year. I know Q2 put some judges to tears this year, Civitas's show was very surreal, and IMPACT had some really interesting section interplay. Hats off to IMPACT, it never feels good to see someone lose a medal to a penalty, but you just have to accept it because that's part of the game.
Marching IMPACT this year was a blast, losing a 2nd place spot means nothing when we put our hearts out in our finals run. Thank you so much for the recognition!!

Video number 45 of asking you to learn how to play ever long by the foo fighters on drumset. No where near as hard as your bleed and master of puppets videos but still a great song that for the average person is really hard to play. If it’s too easy for you being an experienced drummer try playing the hi-hat 16th notes with one hand like normal

It's mostly just rhythms but for different sections or different hits there are different noteheads. For example, rim shots are generally notated with X's on the noteheads. And for tenors/quads, crossovers are notated with half note heads with slashes through them
