- USA's #2 Ranked Pro Rider - Josh Roper was practicing riding creeks after a heavy rainfall at the trials training center and I had the opportunity to catch up with him for some tips and coaching during this year's trials training days 2024.
His suggestions were:
Keep legs bent
knees out / open wide
weight back
light on front wheel
smooth on throttle
keep momentum but not too fast, don't rush
head up, look where you want to go, look past obstacles
let the bike move around (flow) under you
pick your line where you can see the rocks just above the water
look for rocks to place your front tire so you don't fall into a hole

Good video Josh and Tom!
What is the best way to deal with forearm pump. And how to train to reduce the effect?
Bouldering.
Great question. I know stretching helps. 🤷♂️ I also try to use a grip strengthening device while driving to build up my muscles.
I'll ask him tonight, gunna chat about his time with hard Enduro
The real stuff, not these easy-peasy splatters
