- With Fear The Walking Dead Now over it is time to look back at all 8 seasons and rank them from Worst To Best. In this video I will be talking about all 8 seasons of Fear The Walking Dead and what I liked about each season and what I did not like about each season and ranking them from my least favourite to my most favourite season to create the definitive list / ranking for the Fear The Walking Dead Seasons.

This show was a literal chore to get through post-season 3. Very sad that they never let the show get good again and recover before killing it. They had 4 seasons in which to fire Ian and Andrew and try and fix it but it was literally way too far gone by the ending. The real Fear ended many years ago. Whatever this variation was finally ended without ever getting good. I have never in the history of television seen a show that was so good get so destroyed. Season 3 was legitimately some peak television from every standpoint, the acting and writing to the filmmaking and gorgeous cinematography. How that show then became quite literally the worst tv series ever made is insane. It went from great to the worst. Can't think of anything else that had SUCH a plummet. Insane what AMC did to this show. I will forever mourn the Fear that we could have had. We will never know what really was going to happen to those characters and what stories we would have had. So upsetting.
God, Morgan, Ian and Andrew and Scott Gimple are the worst things to ever happen to this show. Doubt Ian and Andrew are getting to work in writing ever again.
I could not of said it better myself. I agree it is so dumb the show runners never got fired. It seems AMC likes sheep and people with no talent and hates people that have a vision and don’t agree with everything AMC and Gimple say.

My Rankings
1. Season 3 - The last true downfall of the old world, of society, was in this season and it was glorious to see, especially since it was the downfall of both the US & Mexico. Brokejaw Ranch, El Bazar, and Gonzalez Damn are honestly some of the coolest communities we've seen in the entire series. Having pseudo-real life politics with that Natives vs White & Mexico's Rich vs Poor actually being a focus in the show in a realisitic enough manner was amazing to see as it's something that's never been touched on before or since. And we started to see (what was supposed to be) Madison's true downfall into villany and how she was taking everyone else down that path with her
2. Season 1 - The spinoff that started the great TWD universe and actually proved that it could be done. It was short & sweet and we got to see the early collapse of society. No real negatives to say here.
3. Season 2 - Seeing the ocean & Mexico was so refreshing. For me, it's just that the storylines here, especially in the second half, are a tad bit forgettable. Yet you still have great moments with Travis, Madison, Alicia, Nick, Victor, and Daniel. Luci was introduced in this season and if she just stayed in this season, she wouldn've been a decent character. I will say, that this Season has what is imo the most haunting shot/scene in all of TWD, which is in the first episode of the Season where we see that shot of LA getting bombed. That scene/shot gives me chills every single time.
4. Season 6 - A return to form for the series after 1 good & 1 average season. Had they kept it up like this, the shows legacy wouldn't have been as tarnished as it is now. The pioneer storyline, although a bit messy at time, was still great. But ngl, those last two episodes really sink the season because it's what leads up to Season 7 & thus the show's inevitable downfall.
5. Season 4 - The first half was actually great. The 2 Charlatans actually gave some kind of a shit. They juggled both Nick & Madison's departure well enough. Got introduced to John, Althea, June, Wendell, & Sarah. I don't think they should've ever brought back Luci however. Also, the second half with Martha was just bad. She's a villain that I still don't even understand as to how she even survived that long in the apocalypse. If anything, she's the worst character the show introduced because it baffles me why she's alive or has power. Crane, for as whiney & pathetic as he is, I can kind of understand where his dilussion is coming from and he actually has some legit power behind him. Still a badly written character, don't get me wrong, but not as bad as Martha imo.
6. Season 5 - The main issue is that it's just an average season. Nothing too good about it but also nothing too bad about it. We got Grace though, so that's a plus. The way they did Nuclear Fallout here was actually believable and consistent as opposed to the charade we got in Season 7. And the introduction of The Pioneers in the backhalf was good enough.
7. Season 8 - The fact that such a promising show went out with a wimper like this is disgusting. Everything was clearly done because of "Fuck it, it's the last Season so we can do whatever the hell we want" logic. The writing is at an all time low. And they actually had some good ideas throughout the season that they did nothing with.
8. Season 7 - It Lost The Fucking Plot. Very inconsistantly written season. The Nuclear Fallout was only a factor when they felt they needed it to be a factor. Strand's turn to villany was straight up character assasination the way they did it. Why the fuck is anyone still in Texas to begin with? This was the first true "Fuck You" from the 2 Charlatans.

@@HoboDucks I personally liked Althea & Jun. I didn't really like Nick too much. I don't care for the drug addict characters in Cinema. John Dorie is my fav FTWD character & my top 5 TWD universe characters. I loved the creepiness of Martha over the radio. Quinn's deaths was my fav of the whole show bc of how shocking & eerie it was. I also personally like Sarah. The stadium stuff kinda dragged tho. I wish Cole stayed with Alicia, Strand, Nick & Luciana.
my ranking out of the stuff I saw
1. S3: Every character was at their A game in this season It was glorious
2. S2: Really good season it got me into fear way more than S1 did
3. S1: it was a solid and fun season though I preferred the other 2 more
4. S5: tbh I only saw 2 episodes because my friend wanted me to continue and so far it's sort of fun(probably because I'm only watching the show with a friend) but not as good as s1
5. S4: Horrendous season legit made me nearly drop the show because of how bad this season was
TBH I really enjoyed the first 3 seasons of fear and was def one of my favorite shows but it sadly got beamed by s4 😭😭

1. Season 6 (simply amazing, every episode is worthy)
2. Season 3 (most people's fave)
3. Season 1 (thrilling start to the show and the apocalypse)
4. Season 4 (the first half wow, but the 2nd is dragging and boring looking)
5. Season 2 (not a fan of this season, but it's this high cause of some awful seasons)
6. Season 7 (great few episodes and good looking visuals at times, but it goes nowhere and there were a lot of pointless episodes)
7. Season 8 (Worst writting, cringe dialogue and acting, but it's short, it puts this show out of its misery and episodes 4 and 6 were great)
8. Season 5 (this was, is and forever will be the worst season, could've literally been just 1 or 2 episodes)

I enjoyed Strand as a villain as I think his character was grey enough that he could work both as a villain and as a hero. The thing that ruins him for me is the fact he became a hero in season 8 but I can't blame season 7 for something season 8 did.
Howard was probably my favourite secondary antagonist in the show as I think Hill wasn't there enough and the submarine guy was only cool becouse he reminded me of the guy with an axe in The Shining (Jack I think was his name?) so Howard takes the crown as the best secondary villain
I actually didn't mind Wes's turn to villainy as I think the reason was reasonable. The only thing I feel is bad is that it's rushed.
I very much enjoyed the post nuclear setting and I think the only wasted oppurtunity was not including Variants there but I can live with that. Radioactive walker bodies as a threat was good enough and radiation posed a new kind of challenge for our group
PADRE's mystery and it's almost legend like existance was very cool as I enjoy communities that are pretty much so secretive they are almost a story you just tell near a campfire. PADRE in season 8 sucks ass but in season 7? Was pretty good.
Madison's return I think was handled pretty well though honestly I think the only reason she came back is the same reason Troy did which is desperation for viewership.
Teddy's cult surviving and trying to find their own way in a world without their leader and the one they technically prepared for but were never ready for was nice.
The only negatives I find in this season are Alicia's character and Daniel's memory loss but overall I think this season had the most things I enjoyed and the least I disliked which makes it the best season imo
@@filipgaecki5480 i actually agree i think season7 is not bad but its def worse than s1 2 3 and 6 but it gets too much hate imo, also how season 5 better than 2, 5 has the literal worst plot ever and apart from the first like 4 episodes the rest of it imo is literally unwatchable
