College is not for everyone. I think people should do what makes them happy, comfortable and fulfilled. You are a very level headed young man. I wish you the best in what ever you choose. I can't waite to see your truck back together and running.
My brother went to trade school for electrician and he paid for one semester. After that, he didn't have to pay. A company paid for him to go. When he got his journeyman papers, the company hired him. He makes really good money and it's handy to have an electrician in the family.
I have a great nephew who went to college because he thought that is what was expected of him. His passion lies in cars. He ended up admitting this to his parents who really just wanted him to be happy. He is now a fully licensed mechanic and is loving it. Do what fulfills you.
Two years of college, a trade school for clerk typists, went to school to be a realtor and was in real estate for 8 years, attended college for a year to be a Reflexologist, and went to massage school. Then my husband became ill, and I was his care-taker for 7 years and then retired at 57 and widowed. I taught myself the stock market, made my money in the stock market. Max, just follow your heart and what you feel compassionate about. I really love finance and I really loved Reflexology.
Max- College is not for everybody- but trade school is the best route for you, Like Mechanic school , Motorcycle repair- maybe own your own repair shop. Just something to think about.
I really wish more people would focus more on trade schools versus college. Some people are just not into college. I know I wasn’t and I will stand behind my daughter’s decision whatever she chooses.
That’s why you go and get all your basic classes in college out of the way and hopefully by that time you have an idea of what you want to do. Max you do you. Whatever makes you happy.
It’s a good idea to evaluate what you want to do and how you want to spend your time and money. I would just say: don’t be too relaxed about it. You can do any kind of school now, but life can get complicated: it can be a lot harder to do school while you’re supporting a family.
I took a year off after high school, and ended up helping out a friend at a school when they had teachers off for a religious holiday. I fell in love with teaching and went to apply to university for an education degree the very next day. You need to figure out what makes you happy, and it sounds like your head is screwed on pretty securely. You’re thinking about it in a very logical way, I’m sure you’ll make the right decision for you!
You’re very smart to look at all the options so many people just rush into college and they come out with huge debt and then they don’t know what they want to do with their lives
Max you are very level headed! I agree about college and the debt it leaves after. It's good for some but not everyone! Trade school is the best route to go especially because like you said it's life skills, hands on and you don't forget! Trade school debt is way less! Pilot school would be fun! I like how you put the options out there, do your research and choose from there. Can't wait to hear what your decision 😊
I didn't go to college until I was in my 30s. I found the field I enjoyed and have been doing it for 29 years. College is not the end all beat all unless you know exactly what you are wanting to do that requires that degree. Tech schools are another option for those who don't want the college track. The tech schools in your county offer many options. Motorcycle repair school is an option. An online search can show you options on that direction. Just because you are 18 and out of high school, doesn't mean you have to make a decision right this minute. Take your time, check into all options and enjoy your youth. Working a full time job lasts a lot of years.
You seem very mature and you put a lot of thought into your decision. You seem passionate about flight school. If you haven't already, I would sugest you look at the competiveness and the likelihood of getting a job as an airline pilot or instructor after completing all the required training or if you need additional experience and flight hours before getting hired
Trade School is a great option. My dad went to a trade school for his HVAC degree and he loved it and worked at an apartment complex. He also did side jobs for HVAC until he retired.
My son went to UTI and now is making lots of money. I also have a cousin that took pilot lessons and now owns a small plane in which he gives lessons. You do what you must love and enjoy life.
Pick the schooling that will lead you to a career that you will love doing! If you don’t want to go to college, you don’t have to. My son wait a few years. When he did decide what his passion was he enrolled in an accelerated college. He worked and went to school and still graduated in three years. He is an amazing artist and he went to an art institute, graduating with honors. He is a web developer for a large company in Boulder. Do where your passion is.
This is a good example of how to reconcile ambition, schooling, profession, passion and earnings in order to find fulfillment. Thank you for sharing your son's schooling and career journey.
I did 2 yrs of college AS went back like 4 yrs later to get my BA. Not worth the money as I had a terrible car accident and haven’t been able to work in years. It gave me a solid base but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it for everyone. Super expense only to end up not totally doing the field I went into because of an accident. I think you need to weigh out trade school verses flight school. Flight school sounds amazing I can’t lie. You have a good head on your shoulders and I am confident you will make the right decision for you. I do wish I had done some trade school stuff. To pick up a few certifications. But now I can’t afford that. For you Max the sky is the limit do what want. You are making a living already. Be proud!
I am amazed at how far you have come in the last year, Max. Your videos are always fun to watch and have gotten so much better! You put so much effort in everything you do. How do you like living away from your parents? ( even though it hasn’t been very long). Do you go to your parents for a lot of meals?
Trade school is a great option. My step father is a mechanic and colourblind. Great options and earning potential. He worked for years as a mechanic for the mines (in Australia). Like you say a life long skill, work for your self opportunities etc.
Your passions are definite and they need time to marinate first. Also, the debt issue is valid. No one wants to go into debt as an adult. Trade school I can picture you enjoying it. Most high schools should have a required trade skill program to graduate. That way the last two years of high school, one is doing something worthy of their time, meaning a trade skill program such as nails, cosmetology, pilots license, truck driving, auto mechanics, cooking or culinary etc, painting, watercolor, etc. I would have loved that when I was in high school! Especially when the school district pays for it.
I wish trade schools were a bigger option when I graduated high school in 94. We were actually pushed in 2 directions. College bound or work force. Today, there are so many choices in education and career training. Do what's best for you. :)
Max, not everybody needs to go to college there are some people who learn better with their hands. But you really seemed excited about Pilot School, I really think that that's something you should look into and get more information.
Trade school is a great option. They have diesel mechanic classes, welding classes, etc. Pilot classes would be Awesome! It doesn't take as long and most help you find a job after you graduate. You've Got This Max!!🎉❤
Being 22 so far and having not entered college yet,i feel its the best thing ive done so far because its given me time to really realize what i want to do b4 i commit to debt and unlike my peers after highschool whove changed several courses throughout their college life.Everyone has their own race,no number should be put 2 it
Max a Mechanic is a great career. I have family that are mechanics. Do what at the end of the day, makes you happy. Hey Mechanics will always be needed.
I did have a friend who got denied from flight school because of his color blindness, so def make sure that clear that first before becoming too emotionally invested. It was devastating for him at the time. Trade school sounds like an amazing option otherwise!
Max I think you are making the right decision trying to figure out your future. Too many young people jump into something then don't like it. Then jump from one job to another that means nothing to them and don't put any effort into it and end up losing their jobs. Take your time and you'll know. Whatever you chose I feel you will exceed well.
Good on you dude!! I'm a college drop out and so is my my husband. We met at a community College that also has 4 year degrees. I tried it then fell in love. I got the MRS Degree instead of a AA. Pursue what makes you happy. 😊
If you're thinking of money, go for software engineering or AI. This is the future and the pay is insanely high, triple what you just mentioned for a pilot job.
I think trade school or flight school. But your face was all lit up when you talked about being a pilot. Hopefully being colorblind doesn't get in the way. Can't wait to see the video of you working on the truck. ❤😁❤
I was given some amazing advice and wish I had gotten it when I was your age. Figure out how you want to live your life and then you figure out how or what you need to do to get there. If you think you want to do something specific, find someone who does it and look at their home life. Do they live how you want to?
Very wise decision...plus also I believe, from past experience, if someone goes to University we call it in Australia, 1st year u should spent on campus accomodation as u r hanging with people heading in same direction n then 2nd year flat with people heading in same direction so u stay focused, my daughter did 4 years software engineering. Find your passion
Max,im a mom and grandma....all we want is our kids just to be happy!!!And have the best life....None of my grankids have yet gone to college but have good jobs. And ones at 19 is getting ready to open his own business.Working on Vehicles!!!Kinda your passion 😊
Hi, Max! You seem to be very passionate wanting to be a pilot. My late husband was a commercial pilot. Received his training flying jets in the Marine Corps. It is fun but a tremendous responsibility to fly commercial. Look into Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Fly small aircraft, become a flight instructor? Since you like mechanics , why not become an airplane mechanic? It is exciting that you can weigh your options right now. Meanwhile get your Real Estate iicense and start with that first? Just hope that the economy will improve . At this time it is too expensive for people to purchase homes. Wishing you the best what ever you do. A real privilige to be able to watch your journey. Thanks for sharing.
This post from your new home looks like the sequence of the one on your motorbike from a month ago. It is clear that you are seriously researching what might be the fastest way to find a well payed activity/skill which provides fulfillment and fun as well. In my opinion, schooling, learning and education aren't purely meant to obtain diplomas or degrees. But to help you to develop and discover your talents and to make you aware of the pleasure of gathering knowledge. But again, IMHO. And also, no-one can predict the changes in a career or profession and life circumstances. Good luck and enjoy life Max.
You’re incredibly wise for an 18 yr old! Your parents raised you well 😊 I wish I would have waited to go to college till I knew what I wanted or liked and just went to a 4 year college with no desire. Flight school sounds amazing and so does mechanic trade school but flight school could be a smart idea financially in the long run. Mechanic school is useful too but think about if u want to work in that in the heat when you’re older, it’s very physical and flight school less so ;)
You are such a wise young man-wise beyond your years. You are absolutely correct, you shouldn’t go to college and acquire a large amount of debt unless you really interested in going. See if you can get scholarships and grants for the trade school. Do what you love doing and you will love what you are doing😊
I went to college ,got a degree, hated the job opportunities, worked for four years in my field. Went to trade school and have been working in that field for 25 years. Volunteer in fields you are interested in then see what education is required to enter.
Get your medical exam for aviation and see what options you would have there. Then you know what type of pilot you would be able to be. I could see you doing realestate and doing well; definitely a tough exonomy right now. Aviation Maintenance is a lot of fun (one day i want to go back and finish it.) If you do go that route, stay away from part cleaning and radiology in non destructive testing.
Max,,college is not for everyone but go to trade school for Mechanics or plummer school Excellent money, plenty of business. But you're choice just a Friendly FYI,,i totally on a trade school learning,,glad to see our truck back on road ,,she cool looking truck. My grandson is a side mechanic plus work 12 hours adaÿ,,he only 20 years old,,so proud of him,,he makes great money working on vehicles on the side extra fun money as he said lol. Good luck Matt,,i see you go far in life.
My son went to NASCAR Tech and at the end of school he built an engine and had it race around the track in Charlotte, NC. He was offered a job with a racing team.
Max do what makes sense for you. You have some good options. Get your pilots license to see if it’s something you want to do commercially. Check into getting your real estate license. That could be something you might find interesting. Expand your video skills to build on your views. You got this!
I was intrigued by your statement because I know traditionally, if you had any eye impairment, then you could not obtain a pilot license. I went and did a bit of research and found that you can indeed get a pilot license while being color blind, and depending on your degree of color blindness you can be a commercial pilot. He would have to wear the glasses made for this type of eye impairment, but he may still be able to. So if this is something Max is interested in this, he just needs to find out if his eyes are okay to go. Great question. ❤
Max, I think that you would be great at flipping houses, with your intelligence and your mother's design and even get Kylie involved I think you would do great😅
Often, you can get a job and they train and send you to school. If you go to work for a union. My nephew got his BA through a union by the time he finished his journeyman. Getting your real estate license is not bad but takes a lot of work.
You were very happy talking about becoming a pilot. If you don’t pass the physical, it wasn’t meant to be. TH-cam isn’t a for sure thing. So, learning a trade like becoming an automotive mechanic would be very helpful and profitable. You could always incorporate TH-cam with flight school or auto mechanics school. That way we get to follow along in your journey.
because of my disabilities I've tried different options and I'm happy I'm doing what I'm doing and that's making cards and helping others with booth watching
We do have a community trade school close to where I live in Mayfield and it's up in Paducah and is for anyone wanting to go to Community College that has a trade school
You should try to cash flow as much as possible throughout any of these options! Also, a lot of the trade schools will pay you to go to them so definitely look into that.
I hope you can help fix the solar cars and create assistance for Tesla and acquire more. I don't think that you should sale the camry to finish the truck. nor quit door dash. Can you park the truck and wait until you make enough money to fix it? What is the rush? Can you keep the Camry in the family? Is it special, how long does it go back? Can you do videos on fixing the truck if you decide on mechanics school and not pilot school? Did you get the answer about flying with your eye condition from your doctor? Weighing options, have your family decide in a video and let's see how it turns out! Then the public guess.
Hey Max...I just watched Knorpp and South video yesterday and he had always wanted to be a pilot. So he and his family is traveling at this time and he took some lessons and to my understanding has recently done the solo flight and is thinking about continuing onward in this career...check their video or contact them , since you both are TH-camrs, and maybe he can answer some general and cost questions for ya...good luck on your decision.
To train as a pilot as long as you have the qualifications needed can cost from 50,000 to 150,000 in the UK. It’s a very expensive journey to go down but if you can afford it and your colour blindness is not too severe you can be accepted.
Hey sweetie! I feel the same way about school that you have expressed. If there is a job/career that you have in mind, that can be obtained in a trade school atmosphere…that would be my choice! I support any choice you make, as long as it is legal. Lol
Pilot & mechanic each sound like great options. You could combine the two and be a airplane mechanic.
and make vlogs about the journey and the profession
College is not for everyone. I think people should do what makes them happy, comfortable and fulfilled. You are a very level headed young man. I wish you the best in what ever you choose. I can't waite to see your truck back together and running.

@@ednanelson1897 same here!
You sounded so passionate about being a pilot i think you should follow that dream.

Love the practical thinking processes. You will make it anyway as your visions are clear.
I love how you’re thinking things through. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders. You’re being responsible. Keep it up.
Max, you are so well spoken maybe (I know no college yet) but you are so articulate you would be a great speaker to the children
That’s why you go and get all your basic classes in college out of the way and hopefully by that time you have an idea of what you want to do.
Max you do you. Whatever makes you happy.
You definitely have done your research on things. Nobody can tell ypu what's right for you. Can't wait to see your truck running again.
It’s a good idea to evaluate what you want to do and how you want to spend your time and money. I would just say: don’t be too relaxed about it. You can do any kind of school now, but life can get complicated: it can be a lot harder to do school while you’re supporting a family.
You are a great young man Max with a world of opportunities infront of you.. I know you will do great in life.

I’ve always been taught that the major airlines hire mostly former military pilots, but so appreciate your drive.
There is an old saying:
"Find something you love to do, and you will never work another day in your life." ❤
I didn't go to college until I was in my 30s. I found the field I enjoyed and have been doing it for 29 years.
Max make a vision board and put it up where you will see it everyday, what you do today you take in tomorrow follow your passion!!
Pick the schooling that will lead you to a career that you will love doing! If you don’t want to go to college, you don’t have to. My son wait a few years. IMO...
do what makes you happy
If you're thinking of money, go for software engineering or AI. This is the future and the pay is insanely high, triple what you just mentioned for a pilot job.
I think trade school or flight school. But your face was all lit up when you talked about being a pilot. Hopefully being colorblind doesn't get in the way. Can't wait to see the video of you working on the truck. ❤😁❤

Yer still young enough to decide that down the road ❤ I agree college isn't for everyone, stay true to who you are max 😉 😊
theres also air traffic controller related to flight that might not have as strict medical exam. it differs between countries

My father was a mechanic but he had only 2nd grade education but he did great with mechanics back in the day
Friend works for major airline specializing in large engine repair. They fly him to the engine site rather than bringing engine to him!
You’re incredibly wise for an 18 yr old! You are still so young you have time to figure out life. If you keep your hand into many things even better for you.
Yes being a pilot would be a great job/hobby
Go for what makes you happy. Make your dreams come true.
I think taking a skydiving 🪂 lesson would be great and you could talk to the pilots at the airport and gain valuable insight on flying
Aircraft mechanic sounds cool if color blindness affects your ability to fly. Best of both worlds!
You are such a wise young man-wise beyond your years. You are absolutely correct, you shouldn’t go to college and acquire a large amount of debt unless you really interested in going. I think trade school is a great place to start. I would first find out if you can get in flight school. Sounds like thats what you really want.
High demand with decent pay. HVAC or Refrigeration.... food always has to stay cold
Max,,college is not for everyone but go to trade school for Mechanics or plummer school Excellent money, plenty of business.

Hope you have a great day and I love your videos
If you are color blind a pilot might be out!
@@MsCrazymomof3 only one way to find out , ask
I think you would make a great Auto Mechanic. Trade School would be nice.
Maybe at trade you could learn about plane engine if you are denied flight school???
To be an airline pilot you have to have a degree. Not just a license
Types of pilots:
1. Airline
2. Cargo
3. Flight instructor (several types)
4. Test pilot
5. Private jet pilot
I just read pilots are 100k in deb😮
Max, you are really growing into your confident self.🎉
You were very happy talking about becoming a pilot. If you don’t pass the physical, it wasn’t meant to be. TH-cam isn’t a for sure thing. So, learning a trade like becoming an automotive mechanic would be very helpful and profitable. You could always incorporate TH-cam with flight school or auto mechanics school. That way we get to follow along in your journey.
because of my disabilities I've tried different options and I'm happy I'm doing what I'm doing and that's making cards and helping others with booth watching
And if those activities are fulfilling, that's how it was meant to be.
Color blindness could be a major obstacle for a pilot
Sounds like you have a few good options, Max. Maybe a business class would be a good idea. Night school or something similar.
We do have a community trade school close to where I live in Mayfield and it's up in Paducah and is for anyone wanting to go to Community College that has a trade school
you sounded really passionate about becoming a pilot more than any of the other options.
That requires college
If you do end up going to flight school, you should talk to Aubrey after to fill her in since she’s interested in that field as well!
I have a family member that wanted to be a pilot but he is also colourblind and they weren’t eligible.
You should try to cash flow as much as possible throughout any of these options! Also, a lot of the trade schools will pay you to go to them so definitely look into that.
Hope to see an update of your future career plans in another future video once you are further down the line
Nice thing about TH-cam is that you could take us a long whatever studies you do. Really hope you pass the medical tests, pls let us know how it goes.
Look into refridaration too theres not lot of people that work on fridges andvfreezers and its good money too
I hope you can help fix the solar cars and create assistance for Tesla and acquire more.
No debt with the electrical union 😊
Hey Max...I just watched Knorpp and South video yesterday and he had always wanted to be a pilot. So he and his family is traveling at this time and he took some lessons and to my understanding has recently done the solo flight and is thinking about continuing onward in this career...check their video or contact them , since you both are TH-camrs, and maybe he can answer some general and cost questions for ya...good luck on your decision.
❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing
Good luck
Hi from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
My son just graduated from high school, and he decide to go trade school to become a mechanic too, he want to learn to fix cars and truck too..
I'm a big fan of you Max and your family the crazy prices
Lets get Max to at least 50k followers, like, share, watch it's as simple as that! ❤
To train as a pilot as long as you have the qualifications needed can cost from 50,000 to 150,000 in the UK. It’s a very expensive journey to go down but if you can afford it and your colour blindness is not too severe you can be accepted.
Airline pilot salaries here in the U.S also varies greatly depending on what kind of plane you fly and routes I am sure
Hey sweetie! I feel the same way about school that you have expressed. If there is a job/career that you have in mind, that can be obtained in a trade school atmosphere…that would be my choice! I support any choice you make, as long as it is legal. Lol
