Looking good! A suggestion…purchase a carbon monoxide detector since you have a gas water heater or any other gas appliance. I had gas leaking in my house and did not know until someone from the outside came up to my door and told me they smelled gas. Because it was outside I thought it was my neighbor’s house.Lo and behold, it was in my house and I didn’t smell a thing. Better safe than sorry.
Do not cross the hoses and make sure the round washer is in there the head of the washer. Also some plumbing tape around the hose connector in the back of the washer.
To avoid your washing machine getting a foul odor or mildewing leave the lid up when you’re done using it. The house looks really nice and it will come together in time. My parents always told me when you own a house there’s always something that either needs to be done or you want to change.

The washer dryer was not included in his rental. Strange that a hose was missing for the hot water tank. What I understand about natural gas only let a professional deal with the hook up

Maybe it is an idea to do this fixing all three with help from a mentor/family member? Nevertheless, you made progress and soon you can set up furniture. Thanks for the update.

It just seems like your dad gets left out on a lot of stuff it like he gets left home a lot with the little kids while your mom has more fun with the older kids

The washing machine hoses REQUIRE rubber seal that presses into the end of each hose.

Dollar stores are great for getting all the little things like toilet brushes and sometimes plungers for starting out in a new house
