The example in the video suggests on the front passenger side #8 red for positive and #1 for ground but based on the wiring diagram the below is correct. I initially tried on my 22 limited with red and gray and it was constantly powered on even when lights switched to off. Pinning like the below will also allow dimming with the factory button for all ambient lighting. Front driver L6 Harness - black one #3 Green = positive #13 light blue = negative Front passenger K6 Harness - black one #3 Light Green = positive #1 Gray = negative Rear driver X4 Harness - black one #3 Green = positive #1 Light Green = negative Rear passenger W4 Harness - black one #3 Green = positive #1 Light Green = negative
@@maxxmayeux by any chance you have the wiring diagrams for the passenger doors for 2023 Sequoia Limited? The colors are different completely, and it is a J1 harness I think. The front doors worked well! Thanks.
Hey thanks for the tips. Saw that too. My only issue is the drivers door seems like weak voltage with the plugs described. It’s only getting around 3v. Tried a bunch of stuff but couldn’t find a good 12v anywhere. Haven’t checked the others voltage so that might be where it should be but the leds flicker and seem dim. Any tips?
@@michaelbenzie1728 Same here 2024 Limited, I have all three doors complete, colors are correct above on three of 4, I checked with multi meter. I have been messing around with the multimeter this evening on the drivers door and can't find a 12 positive and ground when the lights are on, other three are working perfect.
Good vid for someone like me who is experienced. If you are looking to draw in the inexperienced, I would recommend having someone film you doing the work from start to finish. Good job on recommending having replacement clips on hand. Most probably don't realize how easy it is to break plastic clips of all kinds. Also, thanks for linking to those wiring pins. Made the watch worth it for me as I keep forgetting to search for them and buy some.
Great video. Would love to install this on my Limited as well! Thank you for your time putting this together. Could you edit to include the part for those clips you used in trim piece above the window.
Looked into this, and it looked to me like it was an entirely new loom which was very pricy. Definitely an option though if you have the time and money!
Hey man great video! I have all the parts on the way and will install after the holidays. Do you happen to know where I can find the screws you mentioned to keep the trim light secure at 4:46? I too am running subwoofers and don't want any (more) rattles
I totally understand. The Tundra has enough rattles. I was unable to get the part number for those screws. I ended up just going to my local hardware store and grabbing the closest thing. I’m so sorry I don’t remember what size I grabbed. If you end up grabbing some please let me know! Glad u are giving it a go!
@@wolfpackmedia805so I got the passenger side door wired in just the way you showed but the lights stay on after head lights and all other illuminated panels shut off. It’s much dimmer but still on. Any suggestions?
Where did you get the wiring harness you showed when you first started the passenger side install? My factory lights didn't come with a wiring harness. Part# would be great. Thank you in advance.
Great video! I had been wondering how to illuminate my limited door trims, and alas this video pops up. My question is, are all the parts available at the dealership or where did you purchase them?
Great question! To make it easier on yourself yes you need both. The tray light comes with the wiring and clips you need to install the trim light. You could do the wiring yourself without the clip but I think that would be very tricky.
I have a 2022 sr5 and it seems to be completely different on the door panel and the light does not seem to fit. Mine doesn’t even have the white matting.
That's very nice, thanks for sharing it. I went to Toyota dealership today for the parts, for tray light they gave me quote of 55$ each. Is that sound correct? I know our Toyota dealership usually gives overpriced quote
I went to order these and it was all either back ordered or very limited stock, in fact I believe the rear door was not even available, wonder when they will be in stock again?
Nice video! Thanks for sharing. I added up all the part numbers total cost and it was $448. Am I missing something or is there something we don't need on the list?
nice job showing the lights but if I am being honest I think you need to video a little more detail on removing the door covers, show how you removed the clips instead of just showing it off. Sometimes doing a DIY job can be nervous for some as they may be afraid they will break the piece. Again please do not take this in a bad way you did a great job showing the lights I just think you could do better with more of a detailed video. Thanks again for showing.
I have a 2023 Platinum with these accent lights installed at the factory. The light on the front passenger door has a darker (dimmer?) area centered about 6" from the rear part of the light. It's about 3-4" wide. I've had it to the Toyota dealer twice now trying to fix it with no luck so far. They replaced the light assembly and that didn't work. When I took it back, they said they did some kind of "adjustment" to it, and it was slightly better, but it's still got the dim area. I paid $75K for this truck, so I expect that these lights should look like yours do. Any ideas on how I can fix this myself?
I actually had this same issue on first install but didn’t notice it till later. The dimmer area is in the exact same spot. I opened up the door again and twisted/repositioned the light just a tad. I also added a small bit of foam on the top of the light (right where it was dim) to push the light closer to the gap in the trim where the light comes out. Once I put the door back together it looks way better. Not perfect but better. I think the part itself might have a defect from factory? I really appreciate you commenting on this though. If I hear of anyone else having this issue I will do another video about it.
@wolfpackmedia805, do I need to disconnect the battery first or leave connected and keep the headlight switch off so I can easily test out my connections as I go?
I left the truck on and just turned the headlight switch on when I wanted to test it. However, you do risk blowing a fuse that way if you accidentally connect with the wrong wire. Safest way would be to disconnect the battery!
Installing the Rave kit (all Toyota Part numbers). Has anyone installed this on a 24 Limited? I am going to ask my dealership for the wiring diagram, these colors do not match, I could probably poke around with my multimeter and look for 12v with the lights on. I am running into the same thing everyone else is, passenger front, stays on all the time, but works with the dimmer switch. After watching what is out there on youtube, I assumed if I figured out one, the remaining doors would be similar, nope hahah.
Should probably save our money for the rental car needed after our tundras go in for 3 weeks for the recall about to happen on debris in engine compartments 😢

Can you please do a video on how to install the dashboard lights.
I want to do this as well as the dash and floorboard lights in my Pro.
Did you by chance put lights in your foot wells, trying to pin down those part numbers as well
NO sir. Just purchased my set and there is no spot for the lights to go on the back side of the doors.
Wonder if you could buy the replacement wire harness to save from splicing the wires.
