Very helpful--especially the winding direction. The spring on my leash didn't break, but the end of it had bent and popped out of the little groove it's supposed to be in. Got it fixed and working again.
@@drlest717 Unfortunately mine broke again, so I ended up buying a retractable dog leash from Harbor Freight for like 5 or 6 bucks. It's working out better than the one from my old one from the Dollar Store, and it cost less!
I wish I could take a pic!!!! I have one for anyone so the cool on mine broke but half way so the tip is still there it’s supposed to be a small circular shape not straight across the inside of the coil thing thank you 🙏🏼 instead of buying a new one fixed this one ☝️

OMG....I was actually able to repair it....well, sort of. Mine didn't have the screws to get into the lease, but I still popped it open. I don't care if it only lasts ONE week, I fixed it myself and now know how it works.
How different to the video was it with a Flexi leash...mines gone a little half hearted when it comes to retracting...as in its slower than a tortoise in tar 😂 and with a very reactive doggo that wants to play with everything and anything it's best to have quiet a fast acting retraction on the lead, I think it just needs the spring tension tightening but wondered how different the Flexi is to the one featured in the video.
A good, informative video but I couldn't even open the case on mine. It didn't have screws, it was just two plastic sides glued together. The "Uhomely" brand dog lead gets poor reviews anyway so I just chucked mine.

Wondering if this would work for retentioning the spring in a extendable lead...I have a Flexi giant professional...it has lost some of its erm umph and today just sat on the grass at the park...dog stopped lead extended not locked it just sat there and then when it did retract it was like a half a$$Ed job 😂😂 how the hell did I end up with a lazy extendable leash 😂😂

HI there thank you for showing the whole process. But my leash's coil doesn't work (cannot pull the leash back). Did I miss a part during opening?
Wash the leash cord and spray it down with dry silicone lube. Makes It very smooth

My 1st attempt did the same, I just retwisted the spring once more and now I fixes mine, works great 👍
