10 days since releasing this video and today we had our 10,900th viewer. When you consider how niche our subject matter is, we are reaching corners of the international energy sector few others can reach. We thanks our 5270+ channel subscribers for your continued support of our channel. Many more videos in the pipeline. Watch this space........ ATB, Mike

Unbelievable amount of oil and gas found and being found in this region. I think now we will never run out of oil and gas as we transition and use less then there will be probably plenty of oil and gas left in the ground when the dust settles. I hope Guyana's people benefit just as the Norwegian people have as Guyana is set to become the richest oil producing state per capita.

The latest Energy Institute report (2024) shows oil & gas production and reserves continue to rise. Commodities are anomalies - when reserves fall, prices rise, reserves rise, prices fall, reserves fall. It's a roller coaster!! Imagine oil at $200/bbl - everywhere would have economic accumulations. Conversely, imagine $10/bbl - the world economy may well collapse.

Going to the global south. What is happening in South Africa with CNR Int. and Totalenergies withdrawing from its Block 11b/12b gas condensate discovery that SA was planning to use?

I can understand this might not be CNR's bag. Frontier exploration isn't really their core business. They were early pioneers in the Outeniqua Basin and farmed out to TotalEnergies. Now, the latter withdrawing - am awaiting confirmation of this - after two discoveries (Brulpadda & Leopard) and several lookalike prospects yet to be drilled suggests something is not right..... The difficult operating environment (very strong water currents, deepwater etc) may make gas finds sub-economic. Perhaps it's regulatory intransigence or lack of governmental support. Watch this space - I will see if Patrick P will give me a call to explain.....
