Just getting into Infinity and I decided that the problem with O12 is that they're a bunch of space narcs. 😁 Then I saw that Ariadna had werewolves and I'm like sold!
Keep in mind that Hector has Strategos, which turns both of his LT orders into regular orders. Throw him in a core link with either a Nyoka or Beta trooper, add Parvati for a specialist and a means to doctor/engineer the link member aback up, and sprinkle in some Psi cops for flavour. With this core link, even if you only build a 10 model list, you'll still be operating on 12 regular orders.
True but limited insertion can now have 2 orders stripped so you can lose that benefit. Plus, don’t you find Parvati very expensive for what you actually get?
@@the_infinitygamer if you've got Hector in Starmada, chances are he's going to be in a link team. You're going to want to be activating that link as your main attack piece, and so you were never going to be able to spend the LT orders on him anyway. So if he didn't have strategos, you'd have 10 orders plus 2 LT orders that are probably going to waste. If you get stripped two orders, you'd now only effectively have 8 orders. But with strategos, you're being stripped from 12 to 10 orders. In that case the strategos + 2 LT orders are your insurance against that command token when going first. As for Parvati, yeah she is expensive, but consider that if Hector goes down, she has a 75% chance to pick him up to full health (ignoring cube reroll). In a 5 man link she has burst 5 BS 15 SMGs, and a WIP 15 flashpulse, as well as being able to repair the Beta trooper in the link. I see her as being insurance for the link team, as well as a very reliable specialist to hit buttons.

If they screw up and do get guided then obviously you can go to town. But if they use a camo troop then they can move around with stealth, reveal to shoot, and then even if they get targeted, they can enter a marker state to avoid being shot. Job done. I've found O12 is very swingy at midboard control. They either win big, or lose big. The two Sirius + Gangbuster strategy is a quarter of a list deployed in one of the most dangerous areas of the board, with no marker state, one wound each, and low armour. If the opponent isn't running skirmishers and drop troops then they will absolutely do work. If the opponent is running those troops then they can easily put templates into the rear arc of your PH10 dudes and have the midboard cleared in a few orders. Shotguns gaining a direct template mode is a significant nerf to the Sirius and Gangbuster, when playing against skilled opponents who can use camouflaged troops well. I think the same, starmada is really a downside of O12 vanilla. The starmada could work if they let us have haris for varangian. And gangbuster or sirius team for support midfield. Even having the epsilon becoming WC only in haris team would be a major bonus for us... Actually he is just useless in starmada. The only reason starmada is worth existing is because they gave us andromeda in vanilla.
An epsilon in a core would be almost the same as some other sectorials. Limit it to a kappa core. Hmm although there are a few wildcards that could make that pretty hardcore.
@@the_infinitygamer well they clearly don't want us to have a fireteam core with the epsilon. So i hope they will gave us the haris. I`m currently playing starmada and i have to admit . you have a point there but in my opinion starmada is not about a linkteam at the start of the game but it`s about beeing flexible with your linkteams . use them / form then in reacton to the enemy . And the zeta can be in a good list but you have to use quite cheap units otherwise . And raptors in starmada is quite nice because he has almost the same amount of firepower as a harris or 3 peaple link team , so they are super nice.
Raptors are amazing but they’re just as amazing in vanilla. I like your point about forming and reforming based on opponent decisions but I would run out of command tokens if it happens more than once! I move things into primary command pools a lot.
@@the_infinitygamer ik that problem all too well . my solution is saladin . yes he is obvious , but it works
I’ve never tried him as I don’t see his purpose really. How do you use him?
@@the_infinitygamer I usually take him for the command token and on ht etable i use him as a coc repeater for my cyberghost. and he can use his Nanopulser +1 burst to act as a rush stopper . And even if he doesn`t do anything really . i think hes worth it because of the command token + Strategos L1. And you should bring cho . Yes again shes obvious but she works
Cho is good because of holomask but I find she’s good with Hector as he’s run very aggressively and will likely die. Saladin would stay hidden I think so might not need the back up.
I'm gonna try a hector core with privati, beta, tian gou, bronze red fury, supported by a bluecoat haris, a tr bot and a free choiche between a varangian or a fuzzbot EVO
That is a hard hitting list! Do you think you’ll get more than one group out of it?
First =) I've been wanting to play o12 since I got into infinity and this was good to know
Yay!! Well done on grabbing the top spot.
Agree with this. Starmada box content isn't bad, but the list is bad
Currently my struggle but then I feel it’s just me missing something.
I suggest you this list I tried with the zeta g+kEby0xMghPMTIgemV0YYEsAgEKAIWyAQMAAIW0AQMAAIW1AQQAAIW1AQQAAIWuAQEAAIW7AQEAAIW7AQEAAIWnAQUAAIXtAQEAADIBAQACBgCFtAEDAACFtQEEAACFqgEBAACFpwEFAACFNQECAACAwAEBAA==
So happy I finally found someone who likes to play the faction I'm most interested in! O-12 :).
I'm a pretty new player and I was wondering if you have the full list you mentioned in the video? I'd love look it over and see if I can improve my own. (Plus 4 hackers sounds like my style!)
I do love O12, now I just need to win with them 😂. Sure, here’s the army code just load it into the army builder app - g+kAFEJyaW5nIGhvbWUgdGhlIGJhY29ugSwCAQkBhawBAwAChawBAwADhbQBAwAEheIBAQAFhbUBBAAGhf0BAwAHha4BAQAIhbcBAQAJhfoBBQACBAGFuQEBAAKF7QECAAOFugEBAASFtgEBAA==
@@the_infinitygamer Thanks! Gonna test it out on Tabletop simulator :)
Nice!! Let me know how it goes - getting spotlight off in ARO is excellent by the way 😉
I think the same, starmada is really a downside of O12 vanilla.
And the haris of varangian ^^'
At the release i played a lot of game with 2 varangian and shona in team.
Before my local meta saw and inform me it was not in the sacro-fireteamchart.
Yeah it was a big mistake in the army builder. That would have been a very good Harris!!
Getting the guided to BS19 may seem good... But really not worth it. Hitting on 18s is sufficient, use those resources elsewhere IMHO.
Valid point, it is a bit of overkill but could be good against something with dodge bonuses so pretty situational.
Anyone know what that aircraft/transport in the background is?
UD12 Chickenhawk dropship
Looks so cool
@@elessar8522 where can I get one?
Another good vid!
Thank you so much. Really appreciate it.
