Finally y'all got to Hed(pe). Btw, it stands for Hed (higher education) pe (planet earth). Walk on by, Serpant Boy, War, Bartender (their most well known song), Killing Time, man so many amazing songs by these guys ranging from serious political topics to just vulgar sex themes, but all good. Also, almost every album has a different "vibe". Broke was really along the lines of the Rap Metal where New World Orphans was alot more punk. Please do more of this band you won't regret it!! Keep up the good work!! Oh, and their song "Feel Good" features Serge from SOAD

Ha first time I saw these guys was in 97. They opened for incubus and Korn. Basically incubus got booed off stage and the crowd was chanting Hed p.e! during the whole incubus set. "Broke" was their break through album. I'd do "crazy legs" on that album. Dirty version of course no clean cuts on these guys do them justice.
hed pe live was fucking awesome, they played in a small club in Germany and the moment they started playing everyone sang along. The look on the lead singers face once he figured out that everyone knew the lyrics was phenomenal, he held the mic into the crowd and had the biggest smile on his face. Good times.

Hed pe has been my favorite band for years and I saw them in Texas. They killed it at the show but when we went we were surrounded by people with face paint and crazy looking. We were welcomed with open arms. It was the best night of my life.

Dude is one of the best success stories as far as someone that was dropped from a major label and then became a DIY musician selling well over $1,000,000 of merch from albums he produced in his apartment in Huntington Beach. These guys are a one of a kind mix of everything and constantly reinvent themselves. Check out Listen for his rap skills. So much more versatile than your average rapper though.

Gomez, and until just recently was the only original member left in the group, but now the new album they just dropped last week (Class of 2020) he brought back DJ Product and original bassist Chizzad. The "P.E." in their name originally stood for "Planetary Evolution" but on their 2nd album "Broke" they changed it up to "Planet Earth" and has since been such... I would say Physical Education was a good guess, but I just...... can't......... lol (...fukkinwitcha...) Much respect for taking the time to check these guys out, they absolutely deserve it! PEACE!!

(HED)p.e. first album from 1997 is their BEST by a long mile. It's a true unknown gem. Check the songs Ken2012, Hill, Tired of Sleep, and especially IFO. The lyrics are insanely good. You mentioned Punk influence with this track Renegade, back in the day, the band coined their style "G-Punk". Which is obviously derived from G-Funk and describes the bands musical influences very well. And another very cool fact about the band is that they were only very few rock bands signed to JIVE Records. Mostly a Hip Hip label. Sharing the roster with Tribe Called Quest, Fu Shickens, Mobb Deep and funny enough Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys...?!? I also remember seeing an early interview with Chester Bennington. He was asked about his influences or bands he was currently listening to. The first band Chester mentioned was (HED)p.e. I might be wrong here, but I think that (HED)p.e. drummer "B.C." was Linkin Park tour manager or is/was in some way related to them on a personal or business level. I'm really not sure where I got that from though anymore though. Maybe someone else can confirm that.

(HED)p.e. first album from 1997 is their BEST by a long mile. It's a true unknown gem. Check the songs Ken2012, Hill, Tired of Sleep, and especially IFO. The lyrics are insanely good. You mentioned Punk influence with this track Renegade, back in the day, the band coined their style "G-Punk". Which is obviously derived from G-Funk and describes the bands musical influences very well.
And another very cool fact about the band is that they were only very few rock bands signed to JIVE Records. Mostly a Hip Hip label. Sharing the roster with Tribe Called Quest, Fu Shickens, Mobb Deep and funny enough Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys...?!? I also remember seeing an early interview with Chester Bennington. He was asked about his influences or bands he was currently listening to. The first band Chester mentioned was (HED)p.e. I might be wrong here, but I think that (HED)p.e. drummer "B.C." was Linkin Park tour manager or is/was in some way related to them on a personal or business level. I'm really not sure where I got that from though anymore though. Maybe someone else can confirm that.
Killing time, Bartender and Swan Dive are 3 of my favorites. My friends and I listening lated 90's early 00's. Oh, crazy legs is great too.
P.E. stands for planet Earth. Always though Hed to planet earth but that was my teenage brain.

Believe it or not guys but their singer Jared is 57 fucking years old. The dude is timeless seriously. A little fucked up in the head but timeless nonetheless! The last time I saw them live as I was approaching him at the booth he looked right at me and said “my Dreadlock brother!“ The dude was fucking cool as hell in person. Always is. Seen them several times over the last 20 years
