A day in world's largest miniature airport (Knuffingen Airport @ Miniatur Wunderland)

- We spent a day (both figuratively and literally) at Knuffingen Airport, which is a fictitious airport. We enjoyed watching many take offs and landings here, including a surprise go around by a "bee" transporter (see if you can spot it in the video). There are many more detailed Easter Eggs (e.g. manpower pushing back airplanes) in this place, which we have captured and shared in the video.
The sound of planes taking off and landing are recordings of actual planes and are broadcast from the miniature planes themselves (there are speakers implanted within each of the planes).
If you are an aviation geek (av-geek), this is a highly recommended place to visit.

took a break from youtube for 2 weeks and it was nice to come back to see these new contents! This place has amazing amount of details. They even have concord. That bee plane (almost) landing was funny. There must be a lot avgeek in the room, right? People were cheering.
Hope you had a great break..it's good to take some time off youtube. This was a great experience for us. Even when editing the video, we felt like going back there again.
There are regular planespotters visiting this place! By the way, they also have a Space Shuttle and a YT-1300, coming from the Death Star (alternatively from Hoth) ...

The only "negative" aspect is, that the runway is only about 1500m long to scale I believe!

The miniature airport took six years of planning and building. Btw., it costed 3.5 million euros, and each new plane will add between 3200 and more than 10000 euros to this.
