Delicious looking lunch. Also, great camera work. That has to be a lot of work to keep moving the camera around to all of those angles. Especially while you're prepping your lunch. The transitions looked very natural.

That jute twine lights super easy on a spark, no char cloth required, or blowing into the bundle (avoid flare ups while in your hands). Evidence is the flare up while in your hands. There is so much dry surface area with jute fibers, fire spreads almost like it's got alcohol on it. I start all my fires from jute twine soaked in wax. A good bees wax not only makes the fire start hotter, you use much less of it, it burn longer AND it keeps the jute waterproof. Is that bird audio "Bird ambience 2" from EpidemicSound or do you record yourself?

Cimbrer Bushcraft smart, I have to pay epidemicsound every month... I have invested in a Zoom H2N which is a 4 channel mic/recorder capable of recording 360 degree spatial sound in both x/y and m/s patterns. I'm going to try and record what ever sounds are around me where ever I backpack to. I'm making a video this weekend that shows my recipe and technique for my fire start if you are interested. I use the 5 ply jute twine, cut it into 9" strips, then melt some bees wax add some olive oil and submerge the pieces for minutes, take out and dry, the dip one more time. I can keep 10 of these in my bushcraft knife sheath. I use the OKC Blackbird SK-5 knife in a Hedgehog Leatherworks sheath with 3/8" Ferro rod/holder, and pouch. That pouch can get wet, but those 10 jute twine strips can be submerged in water for hours and with a quick flick be used to start fire, like they were never under water. Plus, each strip has 5 fire starts, so really you are getting up to 50 fire starts in a very small space and lightweight, that does not have to be protected from the elements at all. Bjorn Andreas Bull-Hansen the opinel knives are a French classic and really useful as well as cheap. They have a simple lock mechanism which because it's a simple ring not a button isn't illegal in the UK. I've got several tucked in my kit.

That jute twine lights super easy on a spark, no char cloth required, or blowing into the bundle (avoid flare ups while in your hands). Evidence is the flare up while in your hands. There is so much dry surface area with jute fibers, fire spreads almost like it's got alcohol on it.
I start all my fires from jute twine soaked in wax. A good bees wax not only makes the fire start hotter, you use much less of it, it burn longer AND it keeps the jute waterproof.

I have invested in a Zoom H2N which is a 4 channel mic/recorder capable of recording 360 degree spatial sound in both x/y and m/s patterns.
I'm going to try and record what ever sounds are around me where ever I backpack to.
I'm making a video this weekend that shows my recipe and technique for my fire start if you are interested. I use the 5 ply jute twine, cut it into 9" strips, then melt some bees wax add some olive oil and submerge the pieces for minutes, take out and dry, the dip one more time.
I can keep 10 of these in my bushcraft knife sheath. I use the OKC Blackbird SK-5 knife in a Hedgehog Leatherworks sheath with 3/8" Ferro rod/holder, and pouch. That pouch can get wet, but those 10 jute twine strips can be submerged in water for hours and with a quick flick be used to start fire, like they were never under water.
Plus, each strip has 5 fire starts, so really you are getting up to 50 fire starts in a very small space and lightweight, that does not have to be protected from the elements at all.

Nice video and a thanks for the great tip of combing the fibers. I use the same folding knife for processing food, but I use the stainless steel version because the carbon one gives some kind of taste to the food, in my opinion. Thanks for your videos and greetings from Spain

Bjorn Andreas Bull-Hansen the opinel knives are a French classic and really useful as well as cheap. They have a simple lock mechanism which because it's a simple ring not a button isn't illegal in the UK. I've got several tucked in my kit.
