- Trouble's been a-brewin' for awhile at Hole in the Wall and now all heck's breakin' loose! Join me as I create a custom soundtrack, paint a passel of outlaw figures, and install a budget friendly MP3 player with pushbutton playback to bring this Wild West gunfight to life. It's time to finish Hole in the Wall on the On18 Bandit Canyon Railway.
Thanks for watching, amigos!
Dave

It's hard to go wrong with the Wilhelm scream, one of the greatest inside jokes.
If you're Happy, we're Happy.
I once painted an HO figure of a chubby man in a suit carrying luggage.
I painted the suit red, including his hat and gave him a green vest.
He quickly came to be known as Sid.
Which meant Santa in disguise.
Coming soon Dave's B western movies to TH-cam. Great job Dave
This is by far my favorite of your layouts! Love micro layouts!
What a great project to work on 👍👍
Il buono, il cattivo e il digitale! Aheaya!🤠
Helluva imagination. Thanks for sharing!!!
Hahaha Dave that’s awesome, here’s my rule with modeling…. You only have ONE person to please. You.
Saying that I think it’s great so money well spent.
At 6:00 Stumpie are you coming? I’m a comin im a comin! I hope you got that reference
Rooting tootin, sharp-shootin!
Love the Three Amigos references. Great detail work.
Knuckle Duster makes some great figures!
Fantastic Dave! Love how you included the "Wilhelm Scream".
Nice job Dave
Really great info on painting figures
For N scale figures I just buy them painted. I am not good at painting figures. Your scene turned out great and the fight at the end funny as all get out. Enjoyed the hole video and learned alot.
GOD BLESS 🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖
Thanks for showing us how you paint figures. You make it look easy. The figures and sound adds to an awesome scene .
Looks good, nice to hear your method of painting
Waiting from New Zealand.
Excellent video Dave!~
At the end with the audio it was like watching a B-movie western. Perfect!
A little shout out to Silverado too.
Nice job Dave. You can improve the sound when you create a small closed box for the speaker, this will improve the sound in low frequency range.
Hi Dave,
I love the new scene and how you gave each figure its own personality.
A suggestion to get better sound is to replace the speaker. Some of those stick on speakers don’t have the best sound, or need a hard surface to work best. I would check out the speakers used in garden railway locomotives. RLD Hobbies and Reindeer Pass Railroad usually have a good selection.
On another note, sorry bad pun, those buttons have quality issues. I’ve found they work perfectly for years, or they cause problems form the start. You seem to have the latter. Any momentary contact switch would work as a replacement. I’ve replaced a couple of mine with toggle switches and they work great. I hooked up one with a doorbell switch to prank my friends, just don’t use a lighted doorbell switch. Those can cause all kinds of trouble, don’t ask how I know.
I hope these tips help.
Type at you later…
Ed
You should try some of the new army painter speedpaints over a white undercoat. Game changer.
very cool...awesome
Absolutely fantastic! Great work as usual on another realistic scene. The dialog and shoot-um-up sounds pretty good. Thank you!!
Btw as I painter I use unbleached titanium as my skin tone base
Love this!!!...these low end mp3 sound players give the perfect feel of nostalgia!!! Perfection is not always perfect!!!!
Another excellent video, Dave!👍👍👍
Very cool! Love it!!!! Lots of fun, which is the whole purpose of what we do. The only thing that is missing is a Clint Eastwood figure! A Fist Full of Dollars!
What a nifty idea! That added a lot to the fun of Bandit Canyon.
Dear Dave, even though you said yourself that your ability to figure paint is sufficient etc. I think you did a beautiful job on these pewter figurines and the resin prints.
On the cheapo audio, think the file you overdubbed sounds pretty cool. The sound quality of the player and its speaker may be good enough. It may help to enclose the speaker, just as in a locomotive configuration. The added switch of the sound board is an absolute nightmare. In my humble experience these kind of switches can just fall apart when pressed too often.
Love the planking underneath the diorama. Curious for your next episode and how you’ll finish up the remaining fascia parts. Cheerio
Thanks! That's the plan. BTW, I've already replaced the speaker with a 2" model and replaced the switch too. Better.
Do they have desert pink? That color makes a good start for flesh tone. Add your washes and highlights. Then, your preferred method for the eyes...?
All because El Jefe didn’t get a sweater!
Lotsa rounds flyin', Dave, hope Miss Etta didn't get struck by an errant bullet!
Classic scene there, my friend, luv it.
One question, who cocked the Winchester just before the shot gun went off? Hehe.
That was a 12 gauge being cocked, but there were sounds of a 73 Winchester throughout the fight.
Jefe, do know what plethora means?
have you ever put any refrences to the Red Dead Redemption games into any of the layouts?
Perhaps a shim behind the switch?
I replaced the switch.
What will you do with the Foam colored Panel?
I'm disguising it with rock work. Next video!
