    excellent tutorial!
    more artists should do this "current brush/settings displayed on screen" thing, because I often have to get back and re-check, what are they using.

    Coming from South Africa it's great to see such a great tutorial starring one of our gorgeous birds - the Lilac-breasted Roller.
    I am trying to learn how to be more loose with my digital painting and thought that trying some oils out on procreate would help. I am thrilled to have stumbled across your channel and brushes! 😁
    Your instructions are really clear and helpful and I hope that I will be able to do your brushes justice with some practice. 🎨

    Great video! I purchased your thick paint brush set and have been trying to follow along. Even when using the same brush with similar size/opacity selected, I’m having difficulty reproducing similar brush strokes like the ones seen in this video. My strokes often come out too uniform. Do you have any additional brush settings (pressure curve, etc) that you’d recommend changing?

    • @IttaiManero
      @IttaiManero  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! There are no additional settings you need to change, my brushes are calibrated to work with Procreate’s default settings. It could be that you need to practice your manual light to heavy pressure sensitivity when doing your strokes. The brushes in this set often are more opaque/uniform when applying full force, while they are way more light and textured when applying little force, and a whole range from light to full force in between. So make sure to practice leaving your hand a little loose and not apply a strong force when doing your strokes and you’ll see more texture and variety in your strokes 😊

      Hi! You don’t have to buy them, it’s a free update for those who already purchased it before. I always send an email announcing the new updates, so make sure to stay tuned (you’re automatically receiving my emails once you purchase something on my Gumroad page). To get the new brushes, go to your Gumroad library if you have a Gumroad account, or if not, pull up your email receipt that Gumroad automatically sent you when you did the purchase, and you will find a link there to access the updated brush set 😊

    Love your work, I was wondering, can you use procreate with other programs? Sorry if this sounds silly, but I’m coming from a traditional background and I’m trying to navigate this whole digital thing, I sound so old, Lololol, Thanks

    • @IttaiManero
      @IttaiManero  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No need to feel old! We all start somewhere 😊
      If your question is “can you export your work from Procreate to other programs and continue working?” the answer is yes. Procreate allows you to export your files in different standard formats, so for example you could export it as PSD, and then open that file in Photoshop and continue working, and you will retain all your layers and information. Let me know if this is what you were asking!

      @@IttaiManero how do I know if programs are compatible? In other words, how do I open Procreate and take advantage of its features while working in another drawing program?

    • @IttaiManero
      @IttaiManero  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robertalexander3067 you mean simultaneously with both programs in sync? You can’t. Procreate is a stand alone application for the iPad, it doesn’t sync with other programs. Is there anything specific you want to do?

    • @IttaiManero

      @@robertalexander3067 these brushes are only compatible with Procreate. But for example Procreate can import Photoshop brushes. Photoshop can’t import Procreate brushes. As you can see, there are some pros and cons

    this is a most beautiful bird painting. I love details on head, body on feathers. thanks. Pls can you show the process like this with actual apple pencil , instead of like screen reader/recording ? and slow the video pls.

      I’ve tried not so long ago to make videos recording my screen externally where you could see my hands and the Pencil, but the problem was that the quality of the iPad screen was terrible and you couldn’t see the colors well at all. That’s why I decided to record the screen directly so it wouldn’t loose any quality. I can do a slower paced video at some point, sure!

      There were several concepts here in the layers and background that I did not follow. I am in only 3 months with procreate, so the learning curve is enjoyable, but can be difficult to follow some steps. Currently I am working on a bird, but as I paint in, I have a lot of white back layer showing through, I found it interesting that you used the pink, but that it wasn’t blended in as you worked. Also how many layers did you use? A breakdown of this would be helpful. I haven’t been able to use the reference to select colors, how were you able to select the colors? Thank you….
