Bought a S2 back in 94, 33k miles and immaculate. Little did I know... first of all to go was the rubber belts for the mechanical ABS, shortly followed by the front wheel bearings. Then I burnt out an exhaust valve, previous owner had buggered about with the amal valve for a bit more power but had neglected the fuelling.. After I'd sorted all of that with a proper dyno session. I decided to fit a boost gauge, taking the dash apart, it was basically held in with a random assortment of screws, deffo someone had been in there at the clock. I contacted the Trading Standards and they went after the garage I got it from, dunno how that ended up. Loved the car, but it was a money pit. Traded it in for a 2L Cav SRI 16v what a gem did 100k miles in it, for regular servicing, a few sets of tyres and an exhaust, amazing motor.
Lovely in white I have a rosso red series 2 myself on a e plate . I started watching your videos a few years back when you reviewed the mercury grey series 2 so nice to see another 👌
Was my first Ford when I was 18 22 years ago best car ever made all the right noises was just one thing insurance was £2800 wasn’t standard by far great video
Had 2 Series 2s, D and E reg plated. Both white and well looked after. Both sold here on the island but not seen them since I sold them. 😢 Worth mentioning that the front bumper and rear spoiler were upgraded on the G and H reg’s (and much preferred). Older spoiler didn’t have those groves i you spoke about or the curved ends.
cool car ive had 3 of these in the past, 2 red ones and a black one, one was a cosworth managed 2.1 zetec which was fun wish i had kept one now seeing the prices of them going up
Am sure that is my dads old r/s when it was one year old the reg looks the same on the old pictures I have will double check when Iam home from holiday
Wonder if the owner can get any more stickers on the windows as there is some room. and the chrome tailpipe lol Yes it's mint, apart from the other garb which ruins it.
Bought a S2 in 1994 had so much bad luck, hit and run offside door/ quarter caved in, vandalism on locks. All repaired. Rust even in 1995. sold it in 2002 for £200. now look at the value
Thats a lovely example and its value will only go up. Good job it wasn't scrapped!

I would call them a series 3. Had a red H plate, so beautiful. Loved the different spoiler and bumper.
Cloth recaroes are timeless.
I am in Brazil and I love my 1990 1.8 XR3 white like this one.
Nice that I’ve just had one rebuilt love it 👍
Everytime I used to see the early 90s pocket rockets, they always had the Kiss FM lips stickers on the back window.

Sure that's spent abit of time in devon and Cornwall if it is has that's a very tidy example
It still lives in Devon.
I had a series 1 and he had this about 6/7 years ago both from Cornwall 👍

My goal is to import a Euro Fiesta, Escort, Puma, Focus or Ka.
