Hey Gwen! I love your videos! As a high performance marathoner, I always struggle with how to balance training with rest/active recovery. I’d love to see what your active recovery/rest days look like for inspiration. Additionally, I’d love to see a whole WEEK in your training schedule to see how you balance your training with rest. Thanks :)
I feel much better knowing that I pack my bike with the same pipe foam. Just like the pros. Minus the extra shifters and derailleurs! Always cool to see how the pros pack the bike.
There's no hungry like post swim hungry!! you look happy! Julie Dibens is a fave. Met her once in Miami. So nice and funny. And I LOVE wild alaskan, recommend to anyone. So good and order any box you want. Greetings from Minneapolis.
Wow Gweny, love your intensity and precision on the weights and such!! Brilliant! Is this S&C routine by the amazing Kate of "VALERE"? She has a specialty in enhancing and making tri people stronger through specific S&C routines for endurance peeps!! But I must ask, in all honesty how do you really think you would fair against the likes of Kassandra Bouggaurd (French Phenom), Beth Potter (British Phenom), and Taylor Knibb(American Hopeful for podium in Paris), and all these individuals are, what, about 10 years younger? Mind you, you still need to acquire one of the two last slots to make TEAM USA Tri women's Team. Is it wise to do "Sprint events"? Why not just do Olympic events to see if you can get one of those two slots left? You should just GO with doing the T100 event sponsored by the PTO, I can only imagine how you would likely be amazing at that distance, but only for the next year or two, because age is such an inevitable crusher of elite athletes! The irony is that elite athletes dwindling down in performance are in a state of denial that is truly oblivious to them, of no fault of their own! Anyways, all the best next weekend, Just let the gun release you and leave it all out there! The only miniscule chance that you have is go all out from start to finish, so in the same manner that former Phenom runner Pre-Fontaine use to approach races! (just going all out!!!) GG! All the best!
For your swim practice, where is that swim bubble? We're thinking about doing that to our community pool. I am researching these and would love to learn more. Thnx.
Thx for sharing the insights! Just one well-intentioned piece of advice: stop wrapping or serving food (sour or salty) in aluminum foil. There are many evident studies out there showing Aluminum contamination of food during culinary preparation. Leakage of aluminum to food that was baked in aluminum foil, and the research is indicating that excessive consumption of food prepared by baking in aluminum foil can carry a health risk, particularly health-related for the youngest.
@@christoph_wattever Salty stuff or vinegar for example is capable of solving aluminum. You then eat it with your food. Look for studies like: Aluminum contamination of food during culinary preparation: Case study with aluminum foil and consumers’ preferences Here in the EU they have to print a warning of every package of foil, that is is not safe to use when combined with acidic and salty food.
Like us ? Hahaha I’ll raise my hand. You have to put so much time into swimming and often the return doesn’t always feel to match the investment. Do it for the love. Keep pounding the rock
thanks or sharing your kiddos. AS moms it brings us so much joy showing that love between moms and kiddos. We sacrifice so much for them!
You sacrifice for your kids? Anyway wishing Gwen all the best this coming season.

Really? I need to check that, use aluminum a lot for preparing food

What are you doing now that you did not do leading up to Rio 2016
more psych work, more skill work, different exposure to challenges i used to be scared of...
This is how you win a Gold medal!!!!
