  • In this video we were digging the basement I will show you a couple of videos of this on how we approached the job. The basement is 3-4m deep in some parts and we dug out about 500m3 of dirt. It was done in about 12h of hard work.

    Nice backhoe. I have the JCB 2001 214S, which is the precursor to this model. Love that ol' girl. I will be doing our house excavation, but the property has lot of 3' and 4' boulders. Largest one is 9'x7'x7'. I had to move the house layout so I could miss that baby. Only weighs over 50,000 lbs. Compliments of the last ice age :) Cheers from Canada.

    This is the most "far out" way to dig a basement l have ever seen. Have been on at least 250 basements and found that this"technique" is fasinant ing. That JCB is a really kool TLB and the seat spins really nice. That really looks likes some custom "grade-a-lating". Looks like you got the whole "shabangy" within 3/8" for plum, level,&square. Just amazing--totally amazing. Thanks for the great vidio Sir and happy safe Tractoring.

    there's a bit of a trick to digging basements with a backhoe, I prefer to dig it all with the back, sitting on native grade and load right into trucks or a dumper, working my way away from the corners. If you layout your digging, similar to how they bench load trucks in mining applications, it goes very fast. if you don't have trucks, lay up a big windrow, than come back and move it with the loader.

      Yes we did not have anything so we just dug a little bit and then we moved the dirt with the front bucket

    I like that JCB , big tires front and back , Backhoes are very versatile , everybody thinks excavators are better , and yes they are in some cases , but a excavator can't do everything as fast as a hoe . when it comes to all around dig and move . Just my opinion .

    I hope you don't take this as me critersizing, but I think perhaps you might have to look at your settings on your Gopro Tim. I am only just learning how to use mine too so I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like yours set for widescreen (if there is such a thing) it makes it look like your inside a round fish bowl. Great for inside the cab, but not so great for outside. A friend showed me the difference on mine and I am yet to play around and see how it goes. Happy to be corrected if I have that wrong. Cheers Adrian.

      yes, I know I have it set like that so you can see as much as possible and that I can stand close to the machine. But I like this view very much. In my older videos, you can see when I was not using a GoPro that you see much less than now but tell me which one do you prefer this setting on the camera or the normal setting?

      but in the future, I will buy the go pro 8 and the quality will be better

      @@TPTimi for outside shots when you're close it may be better to have the older flat look in my opinion. But hey, this is your channel and they are your videos. It's important you get the enjoyment out of filming before other enjoy watching. But vary the setting and ask people which they like more than you can decide. Hope that helps. Like I said, just thought I'd mention it, not wanting to critersize

    It seems like this is the way to go vs buying a mini x and a skid steer

    • @TPTimi
      @TPTimi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! But you can still do it with a mini and a skid steer

    You need to steady up your camera movements would be a help.

      Its hard when the ground has holes and it is not flat you know I know how to record but I don't have the mony for a camera stabilization tool

      @@TPTimi i could not resist saying that lol 😉. I know it cost money i hope your channel grows so you can buy better recording equipment.
      The more we interact the greater the odds of people seeing your channel.
      I am not going to unsub just so you know that so be expecting to hear from me more.
      Have a good day Scruffy out.
