Run full throttle, you get max flow, it will run smoother. There’s nothing wrong with taking your time. Some times the “slow steady” operators get more done faster by not making a mess or mistakes. You’re doing good for a rookie, keep at it every year you’ll look back and see how much better your skills are
Thanks for the video. Your work would be easier and more efficient with a "thumb" attached to the backhoe. I am very much aware that different rules apply in different locales. We live in northern Utah USA.

Just lacks experience , give him some time he’ll be flying and yes the thumb we don’t like them over here
You need to run the machine between 1200 and 1500 rpm , much easier to control
