Could he cut the ends of the bumper to make it shorter to fit the truck? I’m pretty sure the 4th gen bumpers wrap around the back bed fenders pretty far so maybe he did that? And also idk about the mounts if it’s different from the 3rd gen

Yes it was alot of modification to get the bumper to fit. Have to use the stock brackets from the 3rd gen and put them on the 4th gen bumper, plus u either have to cut the sides of the new bumper off or get your rear fender panels dimpled in bcuz the new bumper wraps around the fender unlike the 3rd gen which is cut short from the fender. After i got it all bolted up to the truck i used a blow torch to cut U shapes out of the brackets where the new dual exhaust pipes and tips will have to run through to the bumper. Was a pain in the ass and took about a week of messing with it to get it done but it came out nice.

Buddy, I couldn't visualize the control arms on his Dodge Ram. If they raised it 7 inches, they didn't change those, or they just removed them. the other thing is to know if your truck is 4x4 4wd? because I don't see that MAXTRA suspensions...

Hey man thanks for the post, you gave me hope. I have a 2 wheel drive also and was advised not to put a lift on a 2 wheel drive. For plenty of reasons, one being that a lift is too heavy and it'll be a money pit. I recently purchased some 20" wheels, with 33" tires. Im not sure whether to go with a leveler, or a 4" lift at the front. I also like how you added the 4th gen bumper, I also wanted that also

To Daniel A, no i have no rubbing at all bcuz i did alot of cutting and pushing back of metal on the rear bottom portion of the front fenders and pinch weld. If u look up norcal mod for chevy trucks, that’s what i had to do to get full turning radius in both directions with a 37 inch tire without rubbing. I made The black plastic wheel well cover go on the outer side of the metal in that area so it covers up the metal work i did and cant be seen. I might do a video of it to show people what it looks like.

I have those tail lights on my 07 Ram. I do like them but from the Nevada summer heat, glue started seeping out inside between the brake light and backup light where they come together so now it is visible when you are close to the truck. I have Spyder headlights on it as well (not those on your truck) and the coating on top is starting to flake already. This is only after one summer.
Also had a guy at a muffler shop put some extra welds on the bumper brackets where i had to use the blow torch, just for extra rigidity to the brackets
That is super nice! I have an old 2003 Dodge RAM 1500 5.7 L HEMI that I rebuilt from salvage. I had to rebuild the engine and had friends help with the chassis but I would like to have it look similar to what you've done with yours. I need to work on the suspension and exhaust system. Do you have any recommendations?
The brake/tail lights are gonna have a chrome housing behind the lens, I actually heated up the glue that holds the lens on with a hair dryer and took the lens off and spray painted the chrome housing gloss black then reglued the lens back on, I didn’t want any chrome on the truck.
