Caucuses are informal groups in the US Congress on certain issues. Today the biggest country specific caucus in the US Congress is the India Caucus- or the Samosa caucus as some call it- focused on US relationship with India. How did this come into being ? Is it covered in the book ?
Hindu American Foundation + CoHNA is the only professional organization in North America. They got the US Congress to pass a resolution to recognize the Bengali Hindu genocide. Indian Muslims, primarily Sunnis don't have their own distinct congregation like say other ethnic Muslim groups. Indian Shias have their own lobby specific to their own denomination. Bohras have Dawoodi Bohra USA, Ismalis have Aga Khan. IAMC is a Pakistani front.
