The odds of three bankrupts in a row breakdown:
- 24 spaces (taking the two tiny bankrupts and the million spot as one space total, assuming all spaces are equally likely)
- 2 and two thirds of spaces are bankrupts equates to approx. 11.1% chance of bankrupt
- Chance of repeated bankrupts is 11.1% (in decimal form) to the power of the number of times it repeats

based on his approximation of counting the space with the million as a full bankruptcy spot he was right that theres a 1/8 chance of hitting bankruptcy.
Except they were right about the coins. If you already flipped 2 heads it doesn’t magically make the probably of getting a 3rd head change from 50%. The first 2 flips are already decided.
It’s just that Gavin and the rest of them were arguing about 2 different things.

Starting at 19:05, Jeremy, Michael, and Trevor spin the wheel eleven times, and land on six bankrupts and two "Lose a Turn" spaces. The odds of that are (if I did my math correctly) approximately 0.00000002%.
There are 72 individual "slots", with almost all spaces having three slots. The sole exception is the million dollar space and the two bankrupts around it, which each only take up one slot. So, the odds of landing on bankrupt on a given spin are always 8 in 72, which simplifies to 1 in 9, or 11.11111...%.
"Lose a Turn" takes up three slots, so the odds of landing on that are 3 in 72, or 1 in 24 (4.166666...%). There are 61 slots that aren't bankrupt or "Lose a Turn", so the odds of landing on one of those is 61 in 72 (84.722222...%). This is all assuming, of course, that the starting slot doesn't factor in to how likely one is to land on any given slot.
So, to calculate the odds of getting four bankrupts and one "Lose a Turn" in seven spins, one would just need to multiply the odds together. 1/9 × 1/9 × 1/9 × 61/72 61/72 × 1/9 × 1/24 × 61/72 × 1/24 × 1/9 × 1/9 = 226,981/12,694,994,583,552 ≈ 0.00000002%

It's been five years, nobody asked for it, but there it is.
So I did the math. There are 24 main spaces, each separated into 3 smaller pieces. Out of those 72 spaces, 8 will bankrupt you. The chances to hit bankrupt three times in a row are 72/8 ^ 3 or 1/9 * 1/9 * 1/9. This equals to 1/729 or 0.137 %

Basically in that video: Dan knew that the answer was "where are you scooby-doo" and he desperately needed to land on anything but lose a turn. And he did like 5 times in a row. Meanwhile Arin had absolutely NO idea what the answer was. Dan was legit about to walk out of the room if he got lose a turn yet again.....and he finally landed on some money and was allowed to solve it XD

I did not even notice but yes they are necessary, it is just that most games go very over the top and we love them for it. Side not men don't always get jiggle physics but it would be more fair if they did have package jiggle or muscle jiggle for the women to look at because it is more realistic

If it makes you feel any better, the chances of landing on bankrupt are actually 11/72(15.3%), if you factor in the slivers on either side of the 1MIL space, rather than 1/8(12.5%)
Odds of 3 bankrupts in a row are 1 in 729.
24 wedges, 2 and 2/3rds are bankrupts.
24*3 = 72 wedge thirds, 8 of those thirds are bankrupts.
8/72 = 1/9 = odds of a bankrupt on a specific spin.
1/9 * 1/9 * 1/9 = 1/729 = odds of three consecutive bankrupts.

Jack's math was slightly off. It is an 1 out of 8 chance, assuming there are three whole bankrupt spots. But since one of them is split up into two out of three, and each spot has three pegs, that means there is an 8 out of 72 chance for getting bankrupt, or 1 out of 9

Actually, the chance to bankrupt is less than 12.5%. Given that there are 24 wedges on the board, and each wedge is divided into three equal sections each, there are actually 72 spaces to land in. There are two bankrupt wedges, as well as a wedge that is 2/3 bankrupt. That is 8 bankruptcy spaces, or 8/72. Simplify that to 1/9, and the percent chance to hit bankrupt each time is 11.11repeating%.
What would be dope is if there was a game that let you create your own custom Wheel of Fortune and they could do all Rooster Teeth terms

The reason they get bankrupt so often is because they always go full beans on the spin. If they’re spinning with consistent strength there’s really only a handful of spaces they will land on repeatedly, one of those being bankrupt apparently haha
