Nice that Stompbot did really well. It definitely could win an event in the future. It’s a shame that Blastwave had more issues though. We had an experience with bots melting too one time, it’s really annoying

Yeah, kind of wish Trash worked a bit better in the main tournament. I did win a grudge match by KO once I fixed every issue. Now, I got rid of the mini terminal blocks for connections to soldering every wire together. The issue with the terminal blocks was it caused me to not be able to get up to full speed and move around. Trash at full speed is very deadly! Trash at full power, can bend and even put holes in thin sheet steel!. I just hope I do better next month and fix all the reliability issues.. I hope to maybe fight Blastwave again soon!

Update: Trash is currently sitting at 1-5 in tournament fights. It might be on the edge of retirement. I am going to bring back the old socket head screws for spin up and use a nylon motor guard. It might get 1 last event before retirement if it fails to get at least 2-2. Trash has been unreliable, and I have other ideas for robots.

You should make blastwave's chassis out of HDPE to make it stronger, heavier and more resistant to melting

I loved getting a chance to go up against you. A bit disappointed I never got a chance to tango with Blastwave.

Why can’t Blastwave ever get one solid fight at 100%?

The first fight at Kilobots was 100%, it's just that its 100% was about 90% worse than the competition. Hopefully V3 is 100% better.

yeah, I don't feel like it'll be going away any time soon. Just look up "robot combat events" and the first result should be a website with lots of information about various tournaments
