ALSO when he talks in third-person, he's talking about MITO, his 'alter ego' who's a darker version of himself. christian made a mini 13 minute documentary before releasing this album called ""Memories In Disorder" | OFFICIAL 'MITO' DOCUMENTARY" where he explains why and how he made this album and the story behind each song and behind who MITO is.

Without watching the doco (but I will) MITO would have to be someone deeply troubled in all aspects. Mentally, emotionally and physically. Is trying to live and love like all of us do but his addiction, mental health etc are playing a large role in the effect he has on his relationships with other but most importantly himself. The Video and the lyrics are deep.
He’s definitely not a try hard. People get jealous so easily of someone’s skill set and artistry when they are killing it. The man is talented af.

ian mentions feeling a darker persona inside himself who he called mito (the guy covered in blood in the mv). bc of mito being present he has had difficulty staying in relationships bc mito is so extreme. him referring to himself in third person can be explained by him referring to mito or mito referring to ian
People who said he's a "try hard" needs to back off. They were probably saying it based on his visuals and how he carries himself.
These releases and his whole EP are about his whole experience living with Bi//po//lar dis//order. MITO, the name of his EP literally means Moodswings In This Order but he also made a character out of it. The part where you noticed he called himself in 3rd person, he was referring to MITO. A personification of his "low" state. Everyone should check out his documentary and his recent instagram live because he explained it all, every track in full details.
Everything he does is out of his passion for art and for the people who have been going through the same thing as him. To embrace our imperfections. That it's okay not to be okay. Other than being talented af, he's a very smart and grounded person too. People really need to stop judging him just based on his looks 😒

Exactly! He also had a traumatic experience as a kpop idol years ago before contracts and work conditions improved for most idols nowadays (mind you there's still shit ones out there).
The guy went to Korea from Australia at 18/19 yo with little korean language skills bc he was talented asf as a dancer. He's musical influences can be traced back to his childhood in Australia - he was a drummer in a heavy metal band in high school, loved attending musicals and visiting circuses. He talked about being influenced by Abba, the BeeGees (not always cool with teenaged boys), rock, etc as a kid. He went to a performing arts school so was always going to be more on the creative side. Yea he doesn't need to 'try too hard' at all bc he's just being himself. The jealous haters are just self projecting their insecurities and only wish they had a fraction of this boy's talent! He's come a long way and I'm incredibly proud of his achievements.

Ahhhhh you are the first reactor to catch onto his third person parts! Finally!!! Also, his voice distorts sometimes when he’s talking in third person, which I’m assuming is Mito’s voice. Hes done it in some other songs too! Idk who would say he’s a try hard- he puts more effort into his artistry than a lot more other artists that usually play no part in their works. 😁🖤
I love his music so much. I get happy whenever it pops up on my playlist. The video is brilliant as always. Definitely my kind of vibes. As far as referring to himself in third person goes, I think there's a bit of a split personality thing going on? Maybe not literally but there's definitely something there. In "Welcome to The Show" clip it says that he's not sure whose memories are these. Just a thought..

dpr ian not try hard lol hes very technical. he likes the process of creating not just delivery in live stage. he makes all his music videos and he also direct/edits the DPR labels stuff too. he likes to tell a story using music/video and likes to try different things. not do the same ol same ol

Lo conocí hace poco y me volví un gran fan de el, este chico realmente merece más reconocimiento, pone tanto esfuerzo y empeño en su música y en los Clips de los otros integrantes de DPR. A pesar de que su apariencia es ruda, la personalidad de Ian es hermosa y lo mejor es que es muy abierto con sus fans, realmente no podría verlo como un ídolo de kpop.

Why is he referring to himself as 3rd person ? Because this whole album is based on Mito. His alter ego and that last part of the song "he loved you" is a way to say that not only Ian loved that girl but also his alter ego too. And with all of his being he admits he loved her.
