Rode my Stumpy here last summer, but all the way from Manhattan. Was nearly exhausted when I got to the park lol I dropped in from Ruckman Rd and the beginning descent was so much fun! Rocky, a bit rooty and very fast. I then did a few laps around the campsite, not so much fun on the climbing and when you're not on an e-bike and exhausted. Also, what comes down must go up... I was completely exhausted on the way back and had to get uber😂
That's a great story and you are a smart man than I resorting to uber. Yes, Alpine has fun downhills but you have to pay the price getting back. Rockleiigh which is the connecting park is even worse with more extreme grades. I had been riding my regular bike here the prior 2 months and it's always a challenge.
Great title bud!

winter gloves? those are great trails.. too many leaves out west (alamunchy/stephans)!
The gloves are new and I got them for the knuckle protection, no insulation - today was 45 degrees and that's about all they can handle.
