Some of my favorite videos are about using gear for maybe what they weren't quite intended for. Love what you did here and I look forward to seeing how you utilize the RoWrite in your future videos.
Wow! I wasn't sure I was going to watch this video (as I had my mind so full of camera reviews today) but I'm glad I did😃 I used to be an artist in high school but haven't spent much time with analog capture for 20+ years, and you've inspired me to pick it up again😃
That's awesome. My response to this notebook was really complex... it took me a month to distill it even this far. I wanted it to be an "everything" tool, which it's not; and at the same time I realized that if I worked with its quirks there was a lot it could do-- I just wasn't used to bending my mind in that way. Such as drawing the same thing twice-- one right over the other-- to have the animation move in two directions at the same time; or starting the animation in the middle-- like with the ANY PAPER example, where the outline of the word is already present and the animation is filling in the letters. They really nailed the pen tracking so that you can draw in fine detail, and I never have to deal with random pen marks from the digitizer sticking (like on my tablets) or going back to a portion of a drawing and finding that the pen is now three pixels off.
@@hurricaneimagesmedia I'd like to thank you again, for not only the detailed video review, but also the wealth of VERY helpful information in your comments. What it did for me was this: It both inspired me on the creative side (to take up drawing once again) and on the technical side (to not be intimidated by a potentially great tool, such that could be a diamond in the rough)😃
@@silverlightphotoco That's really gratifying and encouraging, thanks. A response like yours is far and away the best one can hear. I used to produce and direct theatre (before the kids) and the sense of connecting people to their art-- actors to their craft-- was one of the best parts of the work.
I use a Tab S6 Lite to write my notes. It has some of the same functionalities as this one, like animation and transcribing what you wrote. But what I like about The RoWrite it's the real pen. I'm not really a illustrator but I would like to give it a try. Maybe with it had different types of pen, more artist would use it. Well, thanks for the vídeo. Really good shoots and presentation! You're very good at what you're doing. You have a new brazilian subscriber here.
Well , and articulately done. I too am a cinematographer. You did this right, thanks!
