    This was so delicious! I’m oil free so I used not beef, vegan broth to bring it together. I also used McCormick smokehouse steak seasoning instead of lemon pepper & smoked paprika instead of regular. I roasted like the video said but I used steak sauce to coat sprinkle with bread crumbs & it was just like the crunch of a steak with seasoning on it for me!! Loved it!!

    Thank you SO much! I’m recently Whole-Food-Plant-Based and was looking for a way to use some cabbage I had. Your recipe was delicious even though I left out the oil and salt. I convection roasted it on a silpat. Of course I had to tinker with the next batch because I can never leave anything alone! I used all your spices but also sprinkled with SMOKED paprika (very important - use smoked not regular AND sprinkled a little Liquid Smoke on. OMG! So good.
    I’m with you - I’ve never added onion powder or garlic powder ALONE! They belong together - always.
    I’m a new subscriber and yes, that girl can cook!

      @@ThatGirlCanCook_ You’re very welcome. I’ll look forward to more plant based recipes. If you could make some greens taste like they’ve been seasoned with ham or bacon grease, that would be a MIRACLE - LOL!!

    Made tonight & they were delicious, fast & easy! I loved how the steak felt like a meal instead of a side! Your flavors are on point! & I even forgot the broth & it was good. (I did add a tiny bit of maple syrup but I'm weird like that! ) Thanks for sharing! It won't break my heart if you make more vegan meals/sides! :) Also... you kind of sold these when you were talking. I was doubtful, but you made it sound so good I had to try! Glad I did!

    Wow I need to try the chicken stock thing cuz mine came out really dry. Then I saw this lol. Thanks for the recommendation I bet it does help keep it more moist and carmelized

    • @ThatGirlCanCook_
      @ThatGirlCanCook_  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It absolutely does! These babies can dry out very easily so the stock/ broth helps tremendously! Thanks so much for watching!

    • @daArt708
      @daArt708 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also I found out when u cut them put them n water after cutting them...it helps with the dryness...maybe to moist for some but I like it..then when done cutting place them on dish & finish with seasoning (of choice)
      Hope this helps🙂

    Could I use vegetable oil if I don't have any olive oil?

    • @ThatGirlCanCook_
      @ThatGirlCanCook_  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I would probably just use butter. The vegetable oil may alter the flavor, and it usually doesn’t do well at high temps in the oven ❤️

    You didn't cook it long enough. There's not enough brown marks on it. Either turn the overhead grill on for a few minutes or give it another 5 minutes at 400.
