When I see product build quality as this I always am reminded of the intent of the manufacturers assessment of potential lifecycle for build cost. It seems today there are fewer good choices for any sort of appliance and repair may not always be possible or parts are too hard and/or expensive to justify. Having the ability to learn to service something is a great value and skill to have. When I was a kid growing up my Dad had no tools other than shovels, rakes and a lawnmower. As kids we had so many questions that we had to find answers for only by trying. When other kids asked for toys for Christmas we hoped for hand and power tools. Today all of us brothers are extremely handy, skilled and creative. We only wished we had a resource like this when younger. Even though I’m never going to need to repair one of these I’m still interested to see how it comes apart. Thanks again for all your work in helping others. 👍😎👍

How do you get the end of the house apart? To replace the clips that hold the hose into the vacuum?

They seem to be marginally better than the Panasonic Kenmore machines but not by much. I’ve torn into a few of these over the years and every single rainbow power nozzle of this gen and before build up tons of debris inside them just like the kenmores. Yea you need shop air to clean them too much like you were doing lol. That’s the best way I’ve found to quickly clean them

That motor looks like the same Lamb unit used in my Royal and Kenmore models for many years.

If it was made with threaded inserts and screws just like a Sebo, it would've been a better design.

If Rainbows were bagged i think they would instantly ascend into A tier or in between A & B

Yes if they were bagged and not full of water and bacteria.

@@PerformanceReviews It would be brought into an S Tier if they went with machine screws and threaded inserts just like Sebo vacuums.
