Thanks Trent! I really enjoyed checking out your kit. Great video! Kinda felt like I met you.
Keep up the good work!
You do make that kit sound amazing bro. For me, it’s all about your skill and style. 😎🤙🏻
I bought a Ludwig Classic maple 26 Bonham kit, I payed it too much especially to import it here in Italy! I think yours is a good choice! Creativity has no price!!!
One of the cooler kits I've seen in a long time
Kit looks sick as hell dude. Love the big ass bass drum.
Inspiring. All around. Making the most of everything, appreciating what you have and knowing what matters and what doesn’t.
Your bass drum sound is like an earthquake, it's great!!
Dude that kit rocks! Sounds great and so do you.I play low aswell about 20 inches so little higher.I
Have a couple of Ludwig kit with 28x14 Kicks and have 26x14 and also a 24x14 that I rarly use.But some clubs are smaller than others.
Anyway love your kit! Keep on rockin' Brother.Cheers from Toronto Canada!
thanks for putting the time into the videos! they are always awesome and very inspiring to those of us trying to learn !
Thanks for sharing about your kit, I was curious about bass drum sizes !!!! I'm playing a 24x24 right now about to switch to a 20x28 !!!! Thanks again and keep sending the videos !!!!
I didn't know that a 16x26 was made within the Accent series! I see that you use straight cymbal stands like I do. Consider Gibraltar 6710 series. Heavy duty series, fraction of the cost, compared to DW.
Dope shit dude
Ive had a lot of kits but I played an Accent Custom kit for quite a few years and they were pretty good drums, really like them. Cant go wrong with the PST series and Wuhan chinas either. Sweet looking kit man!
Dude, i have never heard your band, your drumming, or even of you either.....but after watching your video, and approach to gear and how you like things,i subscribed and am now a fan, simply due to you being non-elitist and down to earth-what sounds good to you and your needs.right on bud, keep rocking those ludwigs and never change!
Thank you so much! 🙏
Really cool. Nice big kit you've put together. Great sounds without going into $10k of debt is always cool. :)
Thanks, over the years I've spent a hell of a lot on the kit, but definitely not as much as it'd be with Pro level stuff. Crazy how pricey Drums are getting these days
Right! Drums are one thing but finding cymbals that work together is the excruciating part. @@trenttieken
Thank you dude!! 🤘
Very cool, set up. A - plus for being original & creative. Doesnt matter if they are high end drums or not. Its the drumming & creative approach that counts. Great job.
Thanks 😊 🙏
Rad rundown, Man. Keep it up!
Awesome I like how ya took run of the mill stuff and made do with it ….heck I play an old Wallberg and Auge mixed kit from the 20’s 30’s and such with a W&A 26 inc bass drum trap table the works …granted it doesn’t work for every situation but I do use it even play out for certain gigs and it always lights up a conversation to say the least lol…..but that kit you got right there is a gem.
I normally dont comment on these type of videos but I want to give you kudos on this kit, it looks amazing. For playing rock and other heavy styles you cant beat the Pst series from Paiste, and I love the giant kick. In an age where social media makes you think you need the newest/most expensive gear its refreshing to see someone make an amazing kit with more "budget" gear. Amazing job!
Thanks! I'm the same when I see all the social media drummers, like yeah I wish I could afford a top of the line kit but it wouldn't make a difference in my playing. Now if I was gigging regularly I'd probably look into a more road worthy kit or hardware, but expensive gear don't make you a better drummer lol
Dude, you sound like a super cool dude - would be so great to meet up, jam, talk shop someday 🥁👏
thank u !!!
Cool set man!
Sweet video!!! A buddy of mine has an accent kit. 12, 13, 16, 22. Power toms, 18" deep kick, rims mounts. They sound thunderous!!! The main issue is the floor tom leg mount stripped out. And one of the rack tom mounts as well. Beyond that it's pretty cool.
They sound big for sure! I've had a lot of stripping issues with em too unfortunately
Thats just fuhkin killer. Reminds me of "piggy?" Was his alias,? , from marilyn mansons band back in 99. He mustve had a 30'+ sized bass drum
cool kit man! that reminds quite a lot of Tommy Lees Carnival of Sins kit, super cool!
Saw that tour as a kid and loved that setup tommy had. I actually use my 32" though lol
@@trenttieken so cool! that kit was frickin' cool and tbh your kit looks a bit more rock since it's setup lower :D
I’ll comment on the Vic Firth sticks. Something was definitely changed. I’ve broken 13 sticks in the past week. 2 pairs of the new “terra”, 2 pairs of 5A freestyle, 2 pairs of 55a freestyle, and a single. All of the sticks are lighter and they don’t even weigh the same. Weird.
That’s crazy I’m having issues with the Metal nylon tips. Been using them for nearly 20 years and now I barely get 1 song out of them and they either break or the nylon tips fly off. The price has doubled and they are garbage now. I’m planning to contact the company with pictures of barely used sticks and the tips are busted off. I’ve damaged heads bc the tips break off. I go through 3 pairs per practice which is ridiculous.
Same, idk what happened but it's annoying, especially with how expensive they are now!
@@trenttieken if you ask me. Between the replanted trees/ labor shortage that could have something to do with it. But yesterday I recorded a video and had 2 sticks get smoked within 20 minutes. Seriously
Is the marching bass drum just for show? I see your main kick has a double pedal and I don’t see the head moving on the marching bass drum in your videos.
Do you play the 30" ? I didn't see a pedal on that one only the slave to the 26".
I have a single pedal on the 32". I use it mainly for big boomy bonham style beats. Still need a mic for it.
I have to ask, was this set-up inspired by Tommy Lee's 2000's era kits?
Yes, I saw the carnival of sins tour live in 05 as a kid and loved that set up! Unlike tommy though my 32 is actually used lol
@ieken Awesome! Saw them on that tour as well when I was in high school. Tommy's been one of my biggest inspirations ever since then. Do you prefer the fuzzy CoS tour kit, or the clear acrylic Rockstar Supernova version of his set-up?
PAISTE 201? CRAP
You wanna buy me the top of the line expensive stuff? If not then don't worry about what I can afford to use.
