So many times, we are asked to do something we believe that we are not capable of doing. Well, how we underestimate G-d's work in us. In Psalm 66:3a we are asked to say to GOD "How Awesome are your works." In this message, we see his servant Pastor John Ortberg, as one of His Awesome works and we utter in humility, Lord Jesus Christ, forgive me a sinner and heal our withered souls.
Actually the last Ash Wednesday service I went to as a Roman Catholic, the priest said as he used his thumb to smear ashes on my forehead, he said “repent and Believe the Gospel. Years later I Believed on the Risen Lord Jesus and was saved from sin. No longer a Catholic. Have not thought about or practiced Lent for years.
