Seriously the best step by step vid I’ve found! Pacing by far deserves a kudos! Not too fast like many experts do and not to much side banter (not that I don’t enjoy it from some) that distracts from the process a little now n then and I like that it’s literally step by step even for the what many people think are duh moments stuff that newbie’s to diy repairs like myself don’t yet know😆

Should always unplug battery first, doing prox first will cause bootlooping
Nice vid! But do you really have to detach the screen. Can't you leave it connected to the "body" while replacing the speaker?
You must be disconnect the battery after disconnect other internal parts of iPhone ;)

i work at a phone shop and u should unplug bettery first always
if the charging is more than 30 % i can blow up the battery sometimes

You do not need to disconnect the ribbons just skip straight to the speaker, simple time saving !!

I have a possibly stupid question ?! Once you do this replacement what happens to that glue that it was sealed with in the beginning ? Do you ever need to re glue ? Does it make it less waterproof when you do any repairs ?
Yes, the waterproof is absolutely gone
Yes, you have to remove the old seal, but after you've replaced the earpiece speaker, you clean away the old seal with 100% isopropyl and then buy a new seal on eBay to fit, then carefully put back the front of the phone and click all the way around to seal waterproof again 🙂
