I really love the idea of a magnetic extra battery for the fridge. For the amount of trips I would take with the fridge, it seems like a better option than a dual battery set up at the moment.
Thanks for all of the details you always put in your videos!

You’re stating that the fridge took 5% of your 200A battery. So only 10A over 24 hours while sitting in the sun. Is that really correct?

Keep in mind that I also have solar charging it all the time too. So, it’s a bit of a misnomer but yes, with the combo of the fridge drawing power and the solar putting power back (obviously not charging at all at night) then yes, that’s anecdotally how much it showed after 24 hours of running.

@@AllThingsOverlanding OK fair enough, but that then doesn’t say anything about the fridge efficiency.

@@Eddie_-_ True. But I've had other fridges run off the same set up that took more power. Definitely wasn't meant to be a true "test" in any sense. Just an anecdotal thing I noticed in passing. I'm actually planning to do an actual "test" by hooking it up to my Biolite power bank (that tracks power usage) and then I'll show how long it takes to cool from ambient temp down to 30 and how much power it takes. That vid will be coming soon!

Can a gallon jug fit in the baskets? Need it to hold milk.

Yes, verified, haha. I picked up two gallons from the grocery store today and put them in and they fit in either from or rear. You can easily get 2 in a section with some extra space beside them.

@AllThingsOverlanding Nice! I'm trying to take advantage of this sale, and that just made the decision a little easier.

@AllThingsOverlanding Have you used it inside the cab? Just wondering if the lid opening long way will be an issue. My use will mainly be for road trips and grocery runs in a minivan or Xterra.
I have watched some of your videos from the beginning with the Xterra. Good content! Just sub'd now.

@@tsisNyiam Hey, thanks! It may be close but you should be able to open it. Not sure if you need your back seats or not, but I pulled out part of my seat in my old truck and built a simple and cheap platform with a slide on top to hold my fridge and then could slide it out the driver rear door to access it. It was great. Here’s that vid if it helps: How to Build a DIY Fridge Slide Mount in Your Nissan Frontier (DIY Mod, Seat Delete, Drawer System)
