Having cemented their place in the ’90s underground techno scene, the group’s definitive breakthrough came in 1996 when their timeless anthem ‘Born Slippy (Nuxx)’ became the soundtrack of a generation after it was featured in the film Trainspotting. The success of that single catapulted the band from the underground into the heart of the mainstream.

Equipo Sistemas one of the best things about Underworlds career is that all their overplayed and well known songs are not the best...so the really impressive work doesn’t get ruined by being everywhere and. Worn out. It also helps when those songs are 17min long as well :)

It makes you smile, it makes you dance - try to sing it and when you talk about Einstein, Morocco, Concrete you just go CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY

Both albums Beacoup Fish & Second Toughest in the infants are both absolute classics. Pearls Girl and Born Slippy are masterpieces in music. Made me fall in love with Electronic Music.
The trick is to make you forget it's electronic.

These guy's were pure fucking genius. Still have memories of hearing them in the mid 90s, and being like WTF is that! and I didn't like dance music one bit. No one has yet come close to what they pulled off.

Liked and Subbed. Great job with the summary!👊🤙 They are truly incredible and pioneers. The inner-demons Karl battled created hauntingly beautiful lyrics and covered every emotion imaginable. And to think, they're still reinventing the sound but staying true to their Roots. Plus, the story, like so many tracks, are dark and based upon feelings many never wish to feel or face, but he puts Everything, Everything (had to 😉) out there, sharing with all. When Two Months dropped, I was at the club, on my off-night, and heard my mate in the booth play the White Label {in the States - back when we were ~6 months behind -} I was nearly in tears on the dance floor (as were many who understood the message and significance) Happy to hear such a beautiful track after reading about it and Karl's journey finally reaching a brighter place. Plus, you can't help but feel the lyrics and music no matter which album or track, as Underworld are masters of Proper Tunes!!
