- This ride opened in 1927 and has been operating for more than 91 years. This was my first time riding this for the 2018 season. This ride is unbelievably rough and horrible, luckily they have upgraded trains by Great Coasters International which made the ride still better... not.

my dad rode this coaster when he was a kid, he thought it would be really special to ride it together. he blew his back out immediately on this ride hahahah classic

You should have ridden the Hershey Wildcat before it got the new trains. THAT was the worst wooden coaster ride I had. The Lake Compounce Wildcat is rough, but not that bad.

Wow! Looks like they have done a lot of work on this coaster. I don't think I EVER saw it that white before! A fresh coat of paint on a coaster always looks good.

@@melvinramos2849 It was decent when I rode it, but I have heard that it got worse. Still it wasn't as bad as it's namesake at Hershey Park. Now THAT Wildcat was terrible. Probably the worst wooden coaster I rode to date. Thankfully, they redid it and it got the RMC treatment. I have yet to ride the new version.
This was literally the worst coaster I’ve ever been on. Even when they re-tracked it hurts a lot.
Blame old Vekoma.
Now they have hard over the shoulder restraints.
I'm pretty sure they're getting a relocated SLC as well.

Im usually all for a rough ride. Nothing like a good woodie with a bit of that “out of control” feeling (hence Boulder Dash) but I rode this yesterday and it was absolutely brutal. One of the roughest rides I’ve ever experienced, and the staff completely stapled me down worse than I’ve even been stapled before. 4/10
I enjoyed the shakiness and in my experience the staff wasn’t that bad. Also when the train started to leave the guy said “When I say wild you say cat!” And people were enjoying it. It was pretty fun.

WIldcat was not smooth at anypoint since the Dinn Remodel in the 80's. The GCI trains don't track correctly on this M&V retrack and it jackhammers through the first bunny hills heading to 2nd turn. Twister at Knoebels retracked the helix (rose bowl) and it is worse now the train just jitters through the whole thing. Worst retrack I have ever experienced.
I rode it before the re tracking and it was the worst roller coaster ever but I’m hoping to get on it to see if it got better.
Still too rough. Couldn't enjoy it.
Guys, the ride has been around since 1927. Cut the poor thing some slack!

this ride deserves to be RMCed! The park spent probably about 6 million on Phobia, this would be a small scale project for RMC so it would probably cost anywhere from 7-10 million.. but if you think about what it would give the park in terms of line up, the pay off would easily be worth it. People from around the states would come to check out this hybrid (possibly the worlds oldest hybrid conversion( still keeps the oldest ride title that way) would be a boost in attendance, youd be able to say that all the rides at the park are pretty enjoyable from riding it (if you hear the kid in the video he even yells out I have a headache now from the ride) Not only that, but imagine the view from the entrance as wildcat extends higher into the sky and is seen as a classic image to the parks history while making sure it is keeping one foot in the future. Lake Compounce I’m hoping you’ll see this and give it a thought. It would certainly be something worth seeing done and I would be more than happy to let you use me as the first rider to test it once you’re ready for human runs 😂

Ya got to deal with hard over the shoulder restraints combined with Skyrush's restraints.
It is getting a Gravity Group re-tracking in the areas M&V screwed up the retrack... all the bunny hills and camel humps will get their new pre-fab track
When I was a kid (late eighties), this was the only roller coaster I would ride. I was such a chicken.
2019 season, I felt (on the last two hills) like a jack hammer - banging against the tracks, the rest of the ride was terrific. Just the hideous ending (final hills) needs re-tracking - can someone tell the park owner that it goes: "BANG, BANG -BANG, BANG -BANG, BANG -BANG, BANG -BANG, BANG -BANG, BANG -BANG, BANG," breaks applied, the banging stops and it takes nearly 20 seconds to stop laughing enough for us to recover from the obvious malfunctioning - we're just left with the brain damage of it all.
Only a few spots to smooth out. Fun ride.

I love this place and espescillay this ride i am proud to say that I have been going here every year for my Birthday!

Yikes.....You can tell that coaster is rough. Even from the front row it looks rough and shaky.
I hasn't been to Lake compounce since 2016 happy to go back Wednesday as I'm 14 now I can do everything we switched to six flags but I'm happy to go back even tho they took out thr free sodas

this was my first coaster as a kid in this park, i had neck pain for 2 days straight..
This ride not only knocked the wind out of me, but it also felt like I bruised a rib. Same with boulder dash.
Boulder Dash has been really rough lately, but when it opened... OMG what an experience. My first visit with BD was october 2000, it was 42 degrees outside and I must have added 150 credits in one day.

Gravity group will do wonders with this coaster. So happy they chose to have it retracked in wood and not titan track.
Got on this once as a teen with a firend who was about half my size. At some point the safety bar on the car just unlcoked it self and came up so we were holding it down and holding on for dear life. I about crushed him on some of those turns. That thing was brutal lol

it's good. I like it. I was just at Great Adventure. I had the flash pass. I went on every ride more than once. Coaster Fanatic. Something special about this park. Hands down it's one of my favorite. It's a bumpy ride, but I've been on worse. The Ninja in Six flags over Georgia.

I rode this in 2013 when it had the 3 car 3 bench PTC trains, it’s currently my least favorite roller coaster.

I went on this ride after years and before the ride took off my front harness flung forward and if I had hesitated for a second I probably would not be here rn.
I love LC but the wildcat needs alot of TLC or something else needs to go in its place.

I just love the squeel of this coaster. Mean streak had the same squeel. I am really going to miss old wooden coasters. Steel retracks make them too smooth and ruin the experience. And the thing is if they had gravity group do the retrack it would have been done correct. Also i cant FKING STAND THAT DAM O YEEEAHHHHH. It so fking cringe.
