This car is setup so fucking nice. That transmission leaves the line absolutely perfect on the strip and off. GTRs are hopping and skipping all over the place and this thing just drives off.
Auto trans take away a lot of the drivers error which is what usually takes these cars out. Built auto's are so consistent, which is huge in drag racing.
Just like you guys with Chevrolet engines and ford engines not that we are any better than anyone else we had access to them Rb30e and rb30et came in the vl Commodore
Yess, a 3.2 litre NITTO stroker kit was used on a Billet block. Standard Aussie RB30 drag gear if you wanna go big. The 3.2 liter kit they say is the best, better than the 3.1, 3.4, and 3.5 kits. Physics and the engineering/dimensions of the block dictate that peak compression rations are achieved in the 3.2 in the most consistent and safe way.
CARL you are definitely the man mate loving your TH-cam page every time I watch a video it's getting better and better keep up the good work good on you buddy
Question! When making a race engine. Many go for a so-called ''billet block'' What is a billet block? I'm just assuming its a block from a harder sort of metal? How much more does it cost than an aluminium or iron block? what are the benifits? Im guessing they can take ALOT more boost and such? thanks!
A billet block would start it’s like a solid chunk of metal and would get milled out into an engine block. Vs a cast and machined block. They cost a lot
Billet aluminium. Machined from one solid block of aluminium, or an aluminium alloy of some kind. Light(relatively) and strong is the reasoning i think.

Wish they had strips like this in the UK where you could just take your car, do a few runs then head back home, the only strips you have here for 1 single run you have to wait anywhere between 40mins to 2 hours, then if you mess up; tough get to the back of a 60 car que for another 2 hours, if it rains then you have to come back another day. I have to drive 2 1/2 hours to my closest strip so it's so a pain just to do 2 runs and mess them up :(
For the Americans 98 is 98 RON octane which in North America is the equivalent to 93 MON Octane which you do have at the pump. So 8.7 on pump 93 is pretty decent.
Man, Aussies are just the kindest, most formidable people. Makes me kind of wish us Americans smiled and laughed more, especially for the freedom this country affords us, compared to Australia.
