The smart way of doing this job is by leaving the front cover off and install the housing on whilst tuning the shaft to match the key .put the vane back then the front cover back on and bolt it down. That’s the sensible way of doing this job. But genius here didn’t even notice that the front cover is held by 5 bolts not 6.
@@giddenseuroshop458 Mine apparently, according to mechanic, doesn't create enough vacuum for waste gates to be controlled. Goes from 2 to 12 slowly from start up. Should be 20-25. Hope hes right
I would check for correct operation of the vacuum pump. In another comment you mention that it sounds like a pulley. You could remove the serpentine belt and the a/c belt turn it on and re-check for noise. Hopefully that helps.

Can you clarify for me if there should be any oil inside the vacuum pump?
Other repair videos that I have seen say to clean the oil that is inside.

Sonarscope points at brake vaccum pump changed it out and still.l noisy car runs excellent any suggestions

Found it eneded up being ac compressor pulley changed ac compressor then went all away happy car and owner now
