The name LtoJ is based on the histogram. Students start out with an "L" shape based on the fact that they don't yet know the information for the year. This turns into a bell curve as they start to learn the material and, by the end of the year, they should be closer to a "J" shape being able to meet year end standards.
Dr. Lee Jenkins is a former teacher and California superintendent who is now a full-time education consultant, speaker, and author. The latest results with his LtoJ® process, from 311 K-12 classrooms, is learning at 5.9 times the average classroom.
