I have a 60 gal.6hp craftsman unit but am tired of the noise a slow filling and yes I’ve already fixed that once but want to turn my motor into a pulley drive to run a h.f.5 hp pump but the motor has a huge funky shaft and I can’t for the life of me see how you get the aluminum housing off w/out cutting it off and then probably have to make an arbor for the pulley

I’ve thought about doing that too.
I’m assuming yours is also a two cylinder?

    You’re definitely lucky.
With only a couple of threads left in there, it might’ve pulled the last couple of threads out with it.

Okay but why doesn’t this piston need to be oiled???? Isn’t it mechanical???

Only on an oil air compressor the video is mainly about an oil free air compressor and the piston seal is made of Teflon wich does not require oil
