In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens th-cam.com/users/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.
Couple things #1 Mike is ballin with all of the Gamma line! #2 I love that no matter how long you’ve been fishing, going to a new lake, especially a legendary one, turns us into kids again!

Welcome to my home state Greg! I have never fished those mid and upper state lakes..... I fish mostly the Santee-Cooper lakes, Cooper river and the Santee river. Good Luck!
I laughed when you said you liked black in trucks. My first Suburban was black; my Tahoe was a dark blue with metallic flake; and my current Rav4 is black. It was interesting to see how you transported your kayak and equipment. I've always wondered how pros did it with tournaments that weren't local! Nice to see Terrence feeling better - nothing more of a drag than being sick during a fishing adventure. Carry on! 😊

The fact you dont use forward sonar is a huge plus as a viewer. Tons of respect for you guys are still fisherman and not video game bait testers.
