That drummer is GETTIN IT! What an awesome quartet
If you don't love this please leave America
Claffy please come in Europe with your band !
One of the best Cole Porter songs, underrated as a jazz standard. The gig is amazing
that was Gold, each instrument pouring out a ton of interesting ideas.
Yes!! 👏
Kikoski!❤ I would have sold one of my kids to be there. Kurt is amazingly good. Whole group.
Claffy and the band is awesome.
What a beautiful saxophone sound on the guitar!
Yo gotta love Kurt-------- God bless the man.
Yup. Agreed. Also - You gotta love Smalls. And lastly, you gotta love that they named this tune after how I feel about the woman sitting behind Kikoski to his left...
Love Kurt, hate the synth sound
@@ImOnlyFakingIt I love it. But I hear you. A few years back I saw him, I think it was in Chicago. And he was using a sound that was much, much more "synthy" than what's happening here. And I didn't like it at all. But this sound/tone here is kinda splitting the difference. There's still a discernible guitar "attack," but it's rounded; or slightly muted. Or something. Music. Gotta love it... :)
@@ForcesInMotion Kurt's tone is and was ALWAYS beautiful....
@@vbassone Alright, sir :)
Kurt Rosenwinkel is still the baddest jazz guitarist....
Jan Akkerman 😊
looke at the bass player at 4:30 killing it!!
Pretty cool to see Kurt reading a standard type tune live. Interesting to see him under reading “pressure”.
Yes he reading it with eyes closed.
@@aleksandarstojceski3139 Yeah. Makes it even more fantastic. ;)
it's an arrangement with transposing sections... first two A's in E, bridge in C, last A in Ab... just to trane it up a bit... and neat too
emmadetten wow I wrote this arrangement and didn’t even realize it was the trane vibe (major 3rds, augmented) movement. Thanks TH-cam !
@@claffy9989 record this arrangement pls.
7:05 Rosenwinkel's reaction at the lick is the funniest thing
I can hear Kurt’s Allan Holdsworth influence
Ray Kanoon synthaxesque
there was an amazing video from that Smalls gig of Cole Porter's "Just one of those things". Anyone knows where it went? Has it been taken down? :-(
Shit!!! Cannot believe I missed this.... When did they play at Small's?? What day/date? Thanks
Full gig on facebook, i believe it was january 2nd
No video of drummer?
Anyone knows what chords they’re playing on the last A? Those aren’t the original chords, are they?
Excuse me but where is the drummer please ??
Does anyone know what guitar he is using here?
"Vanguard Plus Double CW" (westville guitars)
Hi everyone, what bar is it in ? In New York ? please let me know, thanks.
Smalls in NY.
@@mahamudra8150 Yes, thank you Matt.
Whose on drums ?
adam arruda!
7:10 - David Kikowsky plays The Lick, to Kurt"s immediate notice.
