Cracking up at how the kids liked bounty because there’s a thing in the UK and Ireland where bounty are always the least favourite in tins of chocolate at Christmas 😂

Flakes tend to be served in a vanilla soft serve ice cream cone. They are usually served from an ice cream van or at the seaside.
Or in Ireland during the summer, literally every corner shop and petrol station lol!

yes -it is odd how Harry Potter has changed our sweets too! Anything potter and they buy it ... just market aero as a chocolate frog n watch the sales skyrocket over there!

The chocolate orange is not the only fruit turned into chocolate by Joseph Terry Jr (the creator of the chocolate orange). He also created things like a chocolate apple and a chocolate lemon. Both of which didn't do so well. The chocolate orange was created in 1932 and is around at christmas ever since due to the tradition of putting an orange at the very bottom of a stocking.

I live in Minnesota right by the Minnesota’s largest candy store. And they have the chocolate oranges and Lemon and lime and mint. And they are all called orange just because of the shape. And they are sold year round. I love the whole hitting them to break them open.

I love listening to kids describing things, sometimes they're just so much more spot on that when others try to describe something! And it's interesting how a kid connects different things!
i love bailey she is just so pure and lovely. in england teenagers dont really get the chance to be teenagers and keep their innocence, they want to grow up to quickly, but bailey is really taking the time to enjoy her childhood. i love it

Sherbet lemons for Bailey’s information are a hard boiled sweet with sherbet in the middle. They are sour but delicious.

@@brookebowers3529 thank you for that information. I always thought that American sherbet was like our sorbet which is fruit juice, sugar and sometimes egg white frozen and then mixed with a whisk.

Zeera I would say a young lady or as my 12yr says, a tween. I know you didn’t mean anything by it, but woman infers maturity and honestly, by what I see on social media etc, I wouldn’t refer to mine as that. It draws undue attention.

M&Ms are a copy of Smarties. Smarties were created so during the war soldiers could have candy without it melting by the time they got it.
I’m from the uk I’ve been following you guys for about a year it’s lovely to see you all try the sweets I love. And flakes are good crumbled up over a bowl of ice cream too

I am dying of a lung disease and sometimes I get extremely depressed because I don't have any family or many friends and sometimes it gets extremely lonely but watching you guys's videos and allowing me to see what it's like inside your family really is very comforting to know that they're amazing families out there and I really admire you guys your videos bring such joy to my life and make me smile and times when it's really painful and hard thank you so much you are truly a blessing

I know I'm like 4 months late but I just had to say you all just tried my favorite candy....the Curly Wurly. When I was little there was a candy bar called the Marathon and it was the same thing as a Curly Wurly. I googled Marathon and it isn't made here in the US anymore so I buy boxes of Curly Wurly bars online from the Old Time Candy website. I was happy to see you all also liked my favorite!!! I'm going to go eat a Curly Wurly right now!!! Thanks for the awesome videos, I love watching you guys!!!

As a Canadian I didn’t realize these weren’t available in the states!!! So happy I got to grow up with almost all of these and glad your kids got to try them too!!
Traditionally little kids eat buttons, you can make the cinder toffee centre of a crunchie. The flake advert is only the crumbliest flakiest chocolate every tasted so good. Lol. We tend to crumble them over ice cream and on top of trifles.

Sherbet lemons are usually (at least in my Australian understanding) a hard lemon lolly/candy with a sherbet centre so you suck them or bite them to release the powdery inside.

you can find a lot of these candies/chocolates in Canada, which are very popular like smarties, aeros, bounty's and much more. You guys should try some Canadian candies as well!!

When you eat a flake you only open the end. So all the crumbs stay in the wrapper and then you poor them in your mouth.
We have something in America called whoppers and they’re almost exactly the same as maltesers but just not as good 😅 but they’re also chocolate covered malt balls

Next time you come to the UK you need to come to York and go to the museums about chocolate, learning about the history of Rowntrees and Terry's factory's. There's a specific York Chocolate Story museum and there's also a history museum that has an exhibit on the evolution of different chocolates like the chocolate orange, how the packaging changes throughout the years etc
As a Brit, who lives in a country who loves having American food and candy and not the other way around (as much) and all the kids excitement about UK candy. I loved this video! Thank you very much! 🙂

I appreciated the parenting that happened in this video... I am very much about moderation when it comes to candy/sugary sweets with my kids (not with myself lol), so I liked that even though you were doing a video you still kept to your sugar boundaries. :)
The only American sweets/chocolate I have had is Hershey's original and cookies and cream and of my gosh the cookie and cream one was heavenly

Very often buttons are given to young children and then we have white chocolate buttons that are actually advertised as a first chocolate for very young children’s snacks.
Dairy Milk chocolate (with the caramel filling) and Tayto Cheese and Onion is the besttttttttt combination!!! But Tayto is and Irish crisp brand!
It’s soo funny because I’m from England and things like the millions sweets I thought came from America 🇺🇸😂. I used to go to an American sweet shop and they had soooooo many flavours of millions.
Yep Bailey you’re right! Sherbet lemons are hard boiled sweets that normally look like lemon and taste like lemon and in the middle there is sherbet.
Interesting fact, sherbet has an Endothermic Reaction which means when it mixes with your saliva it goes colder! It’s the opposite of an Exothermic reaction which is when heat is given off when there’s a reaction between two chemicals. A good example of this is baking soda and vinegar, and even detergent in water☺️

The Drumstick squashies are inspired by a noughty lolly called "drumbstick". It is chewy and if you are not careful it will pull your teeth out.
