The whole ship thing was poorly explained essentially matthew’s crop was on there that he intended to sell now he can’t so it’s created more financial problems for him

I'm not sure you clued into it, but when Anne suddenly started crying it was because it finally hit her what Gilbert's dad's death actually meant. Up until getting adopted by Matthew and Marilla, Anne essentially lived her entire life with no one loving her. She never realized what it was to lose a loved one, because she never had any loved ones to lose. So she was seeing Gilbert's situation from a more logical standpoint. But then she started to think about what it would be like to lose her newfound loved ones, like Matthew and Marilla, and it sort of clicked with her. So the reason she was so emotional was because she was suddenly overflowing with empathy for Gilbert.
I don’t know if y’all noticed too but Merrillas hair was red. So I’d like to think that Rachel when telling Anne how her red hair will change when she gets older I think of her talking about Merrilla:)
I shit you not, Zuff and I had the SAME exact reaction to “terrible wife!” line. When I tell you I sank into my couch. The second hand embarrassment is unreal, but the way they harness young girl talking/thinking is so real. I def said some ridiculous shit when I was little.

So to explain what happened to Matthew's ship, his crops from the farm as well as many other farmers crops on Prince Edward Island get sold to a bigger market on the mainland or other islands. Matthew's crop just so happened to be on the ship that sunk and he will be unable to recoup the money he would've received from selling his crops which were on the boat. Meaning they'll be struggling for money during the winter months.
You’ll find out about Mathew next ep. And also the last clip is Gilbert leaving and you’ll see where. Also you’ll see what marilla means when she said she was needed at home after her brother died, which is the reason both sibling stayed together. Yeah, and potentially some sort of dissociative disorder. I experience maladaptive daydreaming (which technically isn't a real diagnosable disorder yet there is still research being done into it. But there is a potential diagnostic criteria being created and I definitely relate to what there is so far of the diagnostic criteria for it and my therapist agrees) and I relate to Anne so much in this show. So she definitely dissociates more frequently than regular people do, IMO. Though people with ADHD can also dissociate frequently. So idk. It could just be a symptom that ties into her ADHD or she could dissociate frequently and heavily enough that it could be a dissociative disorder.
Aunt Josephine is one of my favorite characters! Season 2 episode 7 ( I think it was?) is still my favorite. The LGBTQ+ representation in the series was so unexpected but so good!

Cold Air does help croup. My son got it for 3 years in a row as a baby and we sat outside with him for hours. It was the only time he got any sleep.
