I just noticed. There was a gargoyle of Malefor just behind Spyro when he destroyed Gual. Almost like Gaul was seeing Malefor in Spyro's stead in those last few seconds.
I looked over the scene again and again and...you're right. Right as spyro rises to do the convexity fury, her horns and spine align *PERFECTLY* with the horns on the malefor gargoyal.
here's how i defeated gaul without ever being touched: run around in a circle in the first arena avoiding his knives. he always stabs them in the ground 5 times and on the last he gets stuck. only then, should you attack (using dragon time works the best). then back off and continue running as before. do this until gaul's finished then when spyro turns dark, constantly shoot at him using the square button and jump over all of the green beams gaul shoots from his eyes. all done! lol
@DOPPELgameplayVIDEOS well its 2012 now. Surely TH-cam standards could've changed. Oh and for the record you could always put in the Credits as a Stand Alone Video. Same with Dawn of the Dragon.

1:40, the lower pitch makes this part of the song sound like the song that plays earlier in this game when you battle the pirates in the forest level.
