I guess you didn’t even realize she is using pips. It’s why Zhang says out of bounds. The point of the video is showing how to loop against pips with different spins. There is a float but no spin ball, a dead low ball, a top spin ball, a ball that wiggles. Due to different variations, the player has to use different looping techniques.
@@elisanabria2068 a dead ball is a non spinning ball. That's it. Yes, you can hit a flat shot. Is it still considered a dead ball? No? It's usually used for serves and chops, when the quality is hidden.
The student still doesnt understand the concept of a thin contact to loop Coach Wang's underspin chops. His still tries to hit the loop with a lot of force and hence isnt the contact point with the ball isnt thin enough to impart proper topspin. Look at when Zhang Jike hits the loop. He is trying to topspin the chop through a very thin contact rather than put speed on his loop
It seems like maybe she is alternating between chopping heavy and chopping dead (less backspin). And Zhang is saying to loop it thinner on the dead ones? Is that what's going on?
@@SIkRiILLeX That's a great explanation. I think i understood the concept but couldn't phrase it. The thinner the shot, the more the brushing and less impact through the rubber?
you dont need much impact to lift no spin ball but for a heavy chopped backspin ball good/thick impact is a must to ensure the ball can be lifted or else it will be slipped from rubber. Try with your LP partner.
Lol, i accidentally found the channel, and now i can't stop watching it. The coach is hilarious. So, entertaining to watch.
Well he is an Olympic champion and Worlds champion.
Fun session to watch and for the three of them too. Love how Zhang knew what was gonna happen before the student hit the ball.
It's hard but I cant stop laughing
Now, all I want to know is where can I see Ms Wang playing tournaments. 😍
Good choppers can vary their spin, like this woman.
It’s amazing how he can tell how much spin is on the ball. I wish he gave some pointers on that instead of calling “net” and “out”.
but i still dont know how he knows wich ball is spinny or not spinny (low and high). the sound is the same.
He observed the trajectory & speed of incoming balls to tell if it's dead/heavy/super heavy underspin.
@@botao4456 thank you! this ability made with a lot of practice i think
@@botao4456 pretty sure the dead here means a super heavy backspin ball.
what club is zhang jike coaching at now
Could you explain how you generate translation,as fang bo has shared alot of helpful videos but they are in Chinese with no subtitles.Thanks.
They have subtitles
What exactly does he mean by "loop thinner"? Less power? A change in the racket's angle?
he means 'brush it'
I'm not sure what the take away from this video is, other than looping choppers is hard!

Wow, I'm a beginner, so this comment was something i didn't know about. I always wondered what the pips actually do@yaweli2968
I love coach Wang ❤❤❤
Super!
what is a good rubber to play like this?? can you name some. i want to chop away from table
what's the difference between dead ball and non-spinning ball?
Death ball is slow, and no spin ball are not necesary slow
One is the definition of the other
@@BrunoNeureiter No, a no spin ball can be a smash

I think what he means by dead ball is lots of topspin ball

Exactly
yes
If ball high, it is no-spin?
No
no,It has nothing to do with height," Zhang said.
@@kakalusercan you explain
Who can explain what jang jike explain?
Listen , a spinny ball makes little noise.
Really cant loop it up
Why if ball with no spin, loop must be thinner?
Hello mate, he doesn't mean the racket angle. He means the hitting, a thick hit is like smashing. A thin hit is like brushing the ball lightly.
@@SIkRiILLeX That's a great explanation. I think i understood the concept but couldn't phrase it. The thinner the shot, the more the brushing and less impact through the rubber?
@@gargoula4814 It means thinner contact with the ball. You just gently brush it with the rubber.
I think it's a mistake in the translation. I think it's the opposite. If you're attacking a ball with no spin, use less spin and more impact.
you dont need much impact to lift no spin ball but for a heavy chopped backspin ball good/thick impact is a must to ensure the ball can be lifted or else it will be slipped from rubber. Try with your LP partner.
你好,张队长,你的美丽练习万岁。你现在在哪里,你未来的计划是什么?
lol,the translation is obviously machine-generated
