I have a friend who is the same height as the girl in the movie, and she's always wearing high heels, so we look really weird together because I'm only 150cm-s (4'11 according to google). But she doesn't care, she's proud of being this tall, and so should all the tall girls be.
As an actual Swedish person I can say that Stig’s entire thing was WAAAYY off. Not just the accent that American actor is trying to to do but his entire personality. We don’t have “high school” we have “gymnasiet” and no one under 40 is named Ingvar. We’re a lot more reserved and not at all that friendly. O and he’s definitely one of the gorgeous people here too. And when Kimmy spoke Swedish I didn’t recognise my own language, I thought it was Danish and they were gonna make a joke about how misinformed Americans are about other parts of the world or something but then he spoke and my neck broke off from cringing, it was SOO BAD!
But for 16 years old, 6' 1" Is not that tall. On average 16 year old girls are usually not that tall but Most 16 year old boys are. It's really not that uncommon for a girl at 16 to be 6'

It's a really stupid concept for a movie because a 16 year old being 6' one is not that uncommon. And this is a movie why didn't they exaggerate her height a little bit ? They could have Made her 7' because at least that It would have been exaggerated enough to warrant making an interesting movie about. They could have done forced perspective or special effects to make her seem taller than the rest of the class mates and repeatedly say that she 7'. I can never tell whether these movies are being serious or being parodies or not. See, if you watch John Waters movies you know, they're camp because they're trying to be camp, that's why they call him the King of Camp (alongside the Prince of Puke and my personal favourite, the Pope of Trash).
Dunkers was the only tolerable character (the black friend was cool too, wow I don't even rmbr her name, they gave her literally nothing. She was really cool and could've been awesome but they obvs underplayed her and gave her the token motivational black friend role 🙄) Giving Dunkers credit isn't even that big of a deal cuz all the other characters were so shitty, so the bar for mediocrity wasn't even set very high.
Fyi i think it is not so common to be called horrible names b/c of your height (though that does happen for particularly tall or short people) but this is also a gendered thing. Short guys have it harder than short girls (seen as undesirable) and the same for tall girls... also wearing heels as a tall girl is rough when you're younger and people are less secure.

I can never tell whether these movies are being serious or being parodies or not. See, if you watch John Waters movies you know, they're camp because they're trying to be camp, that's why they call him the King of Camp (alongside the Prince of Puke and my personal favourite, the Pope of Trash).
Dunkers was the only tolerable character (the black friend was cool too, wow I don't even rmbr her name, they gave her literally nothing. She was really cool and could've been awesome but they obvs underplayed her and gave her the token motivational black friend role 🙄) Giving Dunkers credit isn't even that big of a deal cuz all the other characters were so shitty, so the bar for mediocrity wasn't even set very high.

Fyi i think it is not so common to be called horrible names b/c of your height (though that does happen for particularly tall or short people) but this is also a gendered thing. Short guys have it harder than short girls (seen as undesirable) and the same for tall girls... also wearing heels as a tall girl is rough when you're younger and people are less secure.

For all the people saying she's not tall, what country are you all from? In North America at least, most girls are around 5'3-5'7. 6'1 would be considered above average and some do get bullied for it.
