For a grand total of $47,300.00 out the door. With the V8! The only options missing are the moon roof and ventilated seats. For a full-sized truck and no hybrid BS. • @jdrules23
      @jdrules23 6 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @TRDJon agree. However, I think toyota has a massive price increase on the trucks. It's backfiring. Tundra, tacoma, land cruisers, and soon to be 6th gen 4runners are selling up to 10k below msrp. Which shows they overpriced them. Reliability is iffy now. Price retention likely will hurt long term. Love toyota, but they have lost the way. Chasing big 3 American brands in terms of pricing is not the toyota way. When was last time? Did anyone hear of yota trucks piling up with thousands of trunk cash. On top of the potential tariff coming for tacoma, sales will tank further.

    Anecdotal data only, but in the last week I have seen a ton of new Tacomas driving around with temp tags in SE Texas. I went by my local dealer a few weeks ago and they had probably about 25+ Tacomas on the lot. Went by yesterday and they had less than half that amount. I’m guessing that the prices on the 24’s are starting to fall to make room for the 25’s. I also think that the difficulty in selling these trucks has zero to do with the turbo 4 and almost everything to do with the high prices. Bring the price down, and these Tacomas will fly off the lots again.

    I liked the stream yesterday and look forward to more, Jon.
    $165 price decrease is a practical joke tbh, and NOT a sign that they recognized the price was too high. It is an insult to long time 4Runner/Tacoma buyers like me. I was picking up my wife's GX550 from having tires and a Westcott lift put on it, and in the driveway of the shop, I noticed a brand new Tacoma TRD Pro sitting between an Ineos Grenadier, and Jeep Wrangler, and I was so disgusted with how flimsy, plastic and cheap the Toyota looks contrasted between 2 real utilitarian 4x4s. I know you genuinely like Toyota. However these new generation 4Runner/Taco will definitely be showing us viewers which TH-camrs are real, and who the shills are.

    • @TRDJon
      @TRDJon  4 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Not sure how I take this comment at the end. But I’d truly look at a jeep in terms of reliability and cheap interior. Same with the ineos. I sat in one and there was plastic everywhere. It was bad. All cars need to step their game up

      @@TRDJon I figured I put that last part into context by saying I know you genuinely like Toyota. Also I made no reference to the plastics in any interiors. I said the Tacoma looked extremely cheap and plastic when contrasted between an Ineos Grenadier and a Wrangler. As in the exterior aesthetic. It made those fenders look even worse. It looked VERY cheap, in comparison. I was actually offended by Toyota's nerve, when I seen how flimsy it looks beside other trucks lol. The Ineos interior is 100% utilitarian and meant to serve a utilitarian purpose. The interior is exactly as it should be in a rig like that. Easy to clean and simple.

      The 2025 4Runner ORP is priced ridiculously. I would just get a regular Offroad, a 1958 Land Cruiser, or wait to buy a depreciated ORP. ORP is now expensively lumped in with a bunch of crap I don't want to pay for, like power tailgate.

      They've sold 170k in the US so far this year, not bad considering the slowdown that the new gen rollout and changeover created at the start of the year. But yes, I'm sure they noticed that dealer discounts became far more common for 2024. Would've been nice to see the lower trims drop in price too, rather than slightly increase. The 0.3% $100 SR increase seems to imply they do want to stay competitive on the work-spec trucks and not just give Nissan those sales.

      Not gonna happen 🤦🏻‍♂️ Baja has been making Tacomas since 2002 all Toyota did was move the Texas production to a new plant in Guanajuato because Trump was going to tax Toyota if they built corollas in that new plant during his 1st term. Moving the Texas production also helped the work life balance for employees since they were working two 12 hour shifts 6 days a week for over 6 years.

    • @jonbaniak9097
      @jonbaniak9097 11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +7

      @ not trying to start a political argument with you Kevin, but how does it help the work life balance for employees in TX by eliminating their job and moving the plant to Mexico? Toyota greatly increased the cost of the truck and is basically paying slave labor at $2.50 per hour to unskilled Mexican workers, which is why the quality went down hill. Please explain if I’m missing something here? Toyota definitely needs new leadership.
